Hello aspirant,
in my opinion it might be difficult for you to get your desired stream in MIT but,the choice of college depends on various factors like cutoffs of colleges, seats available, stream selection and many more.you can check all the colleges available in your location on the careers 360 web page and can also compare various colleges on different parameters.
Happy learning.
Hello Aspirant,
However, your time spent during your Bachelor’s and your engineering degree in itself does matter a lot. Primarily, astrophysics sees a lot of people like Mechanical engineering background people, like their electrical engineering counterparts, often assist in instrumentation and apparatus design too. However, given the level of exposure undergraduates are receiving these days, it is necessary that you go beyond your degree.
You need to take part in research projects and internships which are astrophysics oriented, to develop an awareness and experience in the field. This would greatly assist you during your Master’s thesis, and would help you have a sense of direction.
So yes, you can definitely apply for a Master’s in Astrophysics (or just physics, with your MS defining your exact field of expertise) after your mechatronics engineering degree.
All the best!!!!
You haven't mentioned your Category. Nevertheles,, the cut offs fot Thiayagaraja College of Engineering for Mechatronics for various Categories have been as follows:
OC:191.5
BC:190.75
BCM:190
SC:186
ST: 154.25
Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates who applied, no.of seats available, difficulty of the qualifying examination and previous year cut offs. But with 90% in your Diploma you have decent chances if you belong to General Category and much better chances if you belong to Reserved Categories. Also please visit our page https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/tnea-cutoff for preious year cut offs of other colleges as well.
Hi,
Thiyarajar ollege of Engineering, Madurai is one of the top engineering Colleges in India. The college seats fills fast in the first round of counselling itself. For lateral entry admission, the college has not specified a particular percentage to seek admission. However you are looking for a admission in a top institute, so better try to get high marks in your diploma as you can for safer side. Keep visiting the college website to get notified about the admission procedures.
I hope it helps.

C language is preferred a lot for Mechatronics Engineers. But as per the recent year surveys, Python is the most demanding one as it is very handy and it uses lots of in built functions which will help your program look short too with same kind of output. Java is another language that you can focus on.
