dhanshree1501 9th Dec, 2021

there is certain amount of seat reservation only for state students. So 85% of the seats will be reserved for them. Now to get into Delhi medical college being from UP, you'll need to apply through the 15% ALL INDIA QUOTA available seats. The cutoffs compatatively will be even higher for the same.

Can a neurosurgeon earn in crore per month? I am just curious as one of my friends had said that he knew a neurosurgeon who was doing 3 to 5 operations per day and charged 4.5 lakes per operation, and this person had done mbbs from aiims Delhi and Ms,fellowship from Harvard med school. is it true

Tannu 4th Dec, 2021

Salary of a neurosurgeon depends upon their working sector(govt/private), experience and the place from where they have passed. In residency a neurosurgeon gets around 50k to 1.5 lacs as stipend depending upon the state of residency. After completion of degree if they join a govt hospital they get around 25-32 lacs per annum which is fixed and depends on their post. Now if they join private sector there is no fixed income. They can get initial salary of around 40 lacs per annum to 60-70 lacs.Once they are settled and gain more experience they can even get 90lacs-1.5 crores per annum in private sector. In corporate hospitals as consultant assistant they are paid song 35-40 lacs initially and once promoted to senior consultant salary can reach in crores. So clearly there is no limit or peak point of earning for a neurosurgeon especially in private sector.

how much does a neurosurgeon studied from aiims delhi (which is a ug program) and passes out from harvard med school earn if he comes to india at age of 40

yasirahmad2191 3rd Dec, 2021

Hi Ishaan barghava,

As everybody knows AIIMS Delhi is the best medical institute of the country so doing MBBS there is a great achievement and doing graduation from Harvard is

really something extraordinary. I will provide you a general idea about salary of neurosurgeons here so read the full article carefully.

Salary of Neurosurgeons depends upon the sector of work (private/govt), experience and city of practice. During residency they are paid stipend which varies from 70k to 1.05L depending upon different state. After the completion of their residency they can either opt of private practice or join govt. In govt jobs they are given fixed salaries which range around 1.8 to 3.4L per month depending upon their post. If they opt for private practice the initial earnings are around 4L per month. After settling down most of them are earning around 6–10L. Some of them even cross 10–15L, these informations are about private practice (apart from corporate hospitals). The neurosurgeons in corporate hospitals start earning around 4L initially as Associate Consultant and after being promoted to Consultant and Senior Consultant they can even earn more than 15L per month……the peak salary has no limit, it is in crores.

I am neither a neurosurgeon, nor a doctor, I am only a medical aspirant who is highly interested in medical careers and read lots of articles about medical profession and education whenever I get some time after my studies, it gives me motivation to study more and more to become one of the leading doctor some day.

I hope it helps.

can anyone tell me how the allotment of seat in gov college and gov quota in private medical colleges done ..will the gov quota in private med college happen only after the allotment of seat in gov college ..im talking about the state couselling..please help me out

Anurag Khanna 1st Dec, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See mainly there are two types of seat in different medical colleges, one is government/A-category seat and second is private/management/B-category seat. Now there are different criterion for different states for NEET counselling of their respective state quota but in general, government quota seats are reserved for those candidates who have domicile of same state where the institutions is situated, like Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College is in Bangalore, Karnataka so for Government seats of the college, only the candidates having domicile of Karnataka would be eligible for such seats. But for second category of seats, Private/Management seats the candidates across India would be eligible so that they can also have chance to participate in the counselling of other states.

They both are filled simultaneously depending upon domicile criteria of candidates, either it is in government college or in private college. Also note that this categorization is not available in every state, like in Maharashtra there is no management seats so likewise there are some other states.

Before registering for NEET counselling it is recommended that you should go through an article given below :-

In year 2021 due to the delay in getting the NEET results my state ( Karnataka) has already started conducting counselling for engineering course .... Med counselling have not yet started nd i have a very low score in NEET but want to pursue medicine what shall i opt for eng or med???

monstwerdash 27th Nov, 2021

Hello there,

Hope you are doing well . If you are really interested to pursue medicine ,go for it . If you have a very low neet score ,you can drop a year and start preparing for NEET 2022 now itself as there isn't much time left if we suppose that the exam is going to be held sometime in May. If you study with full dedication and a proper schedule, you'll definitely grab a government seat in a reputed medical college next year .

The Counselling is getting delayed due to a case going on in Supreme Court regarding the revision 10% EWS criteria . It is only expected to commence in the month of January 2022 as of now .

You can have details of the colleges you can get into based on your NEET AIR and category by the link given below :

You can have a better idea of the expected cutoffs by viewing the past year cutoffs through the link below:

Ive completed my BSc in distance from IGNOU in session 2018-21 & completed my DElEd in regular in session 2018-20. Am I eligible for MEd? NCTE suggests a person with DElEd & Bachelor can pursue MEd. Will both my degrees be recognised? Both are done simultaneously. Will I be allowed for admission?

Shivanshu 26th Nov, 2021

Dear aspirant !

Hope you are doing great ! Yes no problem if one course is done from distance mode and another is from regular mode then no problem ,you can show your both degree simultaneously ,it is allowed totally so don't worry you can take admission in med without any issue
