Medical Colleges
Hello
In contrast to India, where it is pursued as a bachelor's degree, MBBS in the United States is a postgraduate programme. A medical college in the United States offers a 4- to 5-year MBBS programme, which is equal to an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in the country. To practise medicine, a student must enrol in a residency programme for three to five years after earning an MD. Thus, it takes between 7 and 9 years to complete an MBBS programme in the USA.
Enrolling in a Bachelor of Science programme in a discipline linked to medicine is the first step in obtaining a degree at an American university that is equivalent to the MBBS.
