Is is possible to Go for orthopaedic surgery after Bpth?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd Aug, 2019
Dear Divyani, BPT is a Para Medical Degree. But MS in Orthopaedic surgery is a Post Graduate Medical Course studied after MBBS. If you want to pursue Post Graduation in any course, you shpuld have a relevant Bachelor's degree. If you want to become an Orthopaedic Surgeon, the only way is appear for NEET, qualify, study  MBBS and then appear for NEET PG and then study MS in Ortho. After 3 years NEET PG will be scrapped. This is the authentic educational route you need to follow.

Do esi quota have only one allotment or there is a second and third allotement

STUTI SHALMON MAZGAONKAR Student Expert 24th Aug, 2019

Hello Lekha,

ESIC Quota is reserved medical admission of the wards of people who are insured with ESIC. “Employees' State Insurance Corporation” (ESIC) is Government of India initiative for socioeconomic protection to worker population and their dependants. There are rounds for ESIC quota for private as well as Government sectors and not only for the first round unless you qualify the NEET cut off score. Mop Up would fill the vacant seats accordingly.

My total 12 marks is 72% and PCB aggregate 59% so I eligible for gov medical college in West bengal

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Aug, 2019
Your marks in 10+2 only qualify you for NEET, Saikat. From there on, it is your Score, Categiry and cut offs that determine a MBBS seat in a GMC in West Bengal. Now cut offs change every hear and are dependant on various factors like no.of candidates appearing for NEET, no.of candidates qualified in NEET, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So it is a new journey once you qualify for NEET. If you belong to General Category to qualify in NEET, you should have scored atleast 50 percentile of top NEET score. It is 45 for PWD and 40 for OBC, SC, ST. Anything less than 550 is difficult for a seat in GMC. If you are planning on appearing for NEET, this might help you:
