Going by  previous cutoffs of 2019 , you will most probably get it as previous year cutoffs were close to 11k . Apart from mining , you can get other branches like applied geology , mineral engineering etc in Dhanbad .

Dear candidate, please think once what you want to do, what is your ultimate Goal. I you want to get a secured job after 4 years then you can go for Ceramic engineering B. Tech programme at IIT Varanasi. You can get an average package of 10 to 21 lacs at campus placement. But if you want to go for further studies like PHD then you might opt for Dual degree programme. Yes, its totally depend upon the interest.  Since every thing is changing now a days .many girls are going for the mining engineering. From chief engineer,Technical services to  superintendent, mining manager.. all post will also handle by women  a days .

Since  according to DGMS girls are not allowed to go underground .basically girls will handle the surface area and planning section .No physical work were given...
