Hi there.
B. tech in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering in IMU Vishakapatinam Campus is indeed a good option. The National Ship Design and Research Center (NSDRC), formerly known as Indian Maritime University (IMU), is located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It was founded on November 14, 2008, and the Indian government oversees it as a Central University. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India, IMU was founded as teaching- research institutes, with Chennai serving as the corporate headquarters. With a focus on developing fields like oceanography, maritime history, maritime laws, maritime security, search and rescue, transportation of dangerous cargo, environmental studies, and other related fields, it was established to promote maritime studies, training, research, and extension and to achieve excellence in these fields. IMU is connected with 24 other institutions around India.
This fundamental engineering degree programme, that span across 4 years and prepares students for designing and building marine structures and vessels. Admission is handled by CET.
Hello Aspirant!!!
There will always be a need for shipbuilders and architects to construct various sorts of marine machinery, resulting in a wide range of opportunities for Naval Architecture graduates both in India and overseas. Naval architecture covers a wide range of occupations, making it a beneficial course of study.
The field of naval architecture is not as well-known as other engineering fields, which makes it a suitable choice because work possibilities are limited. Students who complete the Naval Architecture programme can work as maritime officers, port administrators, marine engineers, chief designers, and other positions.
While the scope of Naval Architecture in India is not fully established, it is considerably better abroad, both in terms of technical exposure and salary, particularly in specific EU countries. Definitely it is a good career choice for Women.
Hope it helps!!!
