ritikaprasad.work 25th Sep, 2020

Hey there!

Naval architecture and ship building would be a good course for you if you are ready to handle the naval life. Your job would be in companies like oil companies and ship building and the navy so the life there could be a little rough so be prepared. Coming to placements, if you are studying the course from an IIT the placements are great but overall situation the placements are not so good from a lot of colleges so pick the college wisely. Hope this helps.

my st preparatory rank is 115 (naval architecture iit madras) should i get any seat ? please guide me!

prince2019ad 3rd Nov, 2020

Hope you are doing good.

Preparatory course is an amazing way to prepare category students for the upcoming academic course. The only requirement of of levelling up from preparator re course to actual course is that you need to complete the the preparatory course and pass it.

if you have passed the proprietary course your seat which was reserved for you would be provided to you. So you have high chances that you would get naval architecture at IIT Madras.

If you have any more doubts you can ask them in the comment section.

How are the placements and average, highest CTCS offered in 2020 IMU chennai,Kolkata for B.Tech marine engineering,B.Tech naval architecture?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 30th Oct, 2020
Hello,

The placement, package and everything in IMUs is very different from other B. Tech colleges in india.
Mainly the international shipping companies recruit candidates for posts like Engine Cadet /Junior Engineer/Fifth Engineer /TME and so on. The pay scale is different of all the companies based on various guidelines and conditions.
But generally during training on can get around 350 USD -900 USD.
Once u clear MEO CLASS IV, you will get around 2000 -2500 USD depending on the company and the type of ship you are working which matters most.

I hope this helps.

hello, I have got 1067 rank in cusat presently.. Is there any chance to get naval Architecture and ship buliding course? Please let me know ?

Esita Sau 26th Sep, 2020
Hello there,
You've a good rank!
But As per previous records,
Having a rank below 200 (general category) in CUSAT CAT can ensure a seat in the prestigious Naval Architecture and Ship Building.
And as you've not mentioned your category,
I'm considering you to be general category.
So being a general category student you have less chances to get admission there.
But you have a reserved category,
Then you might have a good chance of getting admission there.
But don't worry,
You'll get chance in other branches.
I'm providing a link for your further analysis,

Hope for the best!!
Thank you.
