hello aspirant,
I dont think just going through ncert would help you fetch a good rank in neet.if you doubt you can check yourself through previous year question papers after completing the syllabus.also while preparing simultaneously you willbe giving the mocks and you will understand.ncert books help in the basics concept understanding.though about half percent of chemistry questions relating to theory part maybe directly from ncert but not most of them are from ncert and for a good rank you need to attempt most of them to be correct.if you expose yourself to various type of questions answering neet questions would be easy.also previous year question are much helpful to understand the level of questions and solving similar type and range of questions.give as many as mocks as possible and be clear with concepts.reference books help but i advice you not to go through all of them at once.pick those wisely or pick one with the help of your lecturer and solve all of the questions from it.
for more information regarding reference books refer to: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/best-books-for-neet
hope this helps,
thankyou.
If you can get a transparent concept from the NCERT then you will have a good chance to crack JEE MAINS. For numerical Practice and problem solving giving some mock test and considering books like Previous year question or books like DC Pandey/ SL ARORA for Physics, OP TANDON, SP BAHADUR for CHEMISTRY, Amit M Aggarwal for Maths will really help you increase your problem solving skills. So the gist of the answer is yes! You can use NCERT for reading concepts which will be sufficient for JEE MAINS but for problem solving you have to refer other books.

Hi student,
I would like to inform you that reading only NCERT cannot be complete, on considering the present Competetion, therefore we read other reference books and coaching Modules to clear our concepts so well that we are able to understand the NCERT to the Fullest and we are able to solve the questions that are not only from the Ncert but also out from it.
Yeah if we consider only for Biology than yes you can score 300+ but i would like to highlight that these days scoring this much also is not sufficient.
For getting a seat in a Government MBBS college then it all depends on your state but i can broadly say that at least you need to score 550 in all of the states even being in the obc category.
You can also use our collage predictor to understand your standing in the competetion:-

Thank You.

Hi,
It will be suggested for you to go for the NCERT of both class 11 and 12 before moving on to any of the reference book for JEE preparation. NCERT will help in clearing your basics and making your conceptual knowledge strong. First, be thorough with the NCERT and then move on to any of the good reference books of your choice. Do practice daily and attempt as many mock tests along with reading. It will help in getting more familiar with the exam pattern and will boost confidence.
