hello, I m a jee aspirant. in prep of jee self study is more imp than watching classes more but I m habituated to be in 100 percent online like seeing classes in online and practicing problems in online.so how can I get interest in reading books as ncert is imp for chemistry.how can I habituate ??

Sowmya Konkala 3rd Nov, 2020

hello aspirant,

now you have enough time to revise whole ncert for january exam.yes believe me you have time.but dont get lazy with that fact.people say your exam is near only 4 months you cant do it.but 2 months is enough to revise whole ncert of chemistry.first during my time also it was tough to revise the whole i used online and couldnt focus much but i used to read books though.but these days every thing has become soo online!.you need to focus on books also.so what i used to do and it helped me like amazing.i completed whole inorganic organic and physical in short period of time.so the thing is you can do the first thing in the morning with full efficiency and can give your 100% if you are really willing to study hard.so each day from now as you have about 30-35 chapters each day the first thing in the morning no matter what happens you should complete one chapter from ncert write it down and stick it front of you.like no matter what after you get up  the first thing you will be dng is completeing one chapter from ncert if its big one allot 2 days.and then only go for any other subject or work.like get up first thing do it!.trust me this ha helped me a lot.i used to hate inorganic and i set myself to read one chapter prior 2 months to exam each day a chapter from ncert prepare your notes from ncert nd revise before exam!.try it out the first thing in the mrng and den to other work daily!! with consistency.remember in these competetive exams consistency is the key.

hope this helps,

thankyou

hello !! can someone tell me that Is the NCERT Book is different at evry standards....or its a single book for every subject

ARYAN SAGAR 2nd Nov, 2020
Dear student,

Ncert books is one of the easiest and basic books that every student must read if they are finding some concepts difficult to understand from their own.
Now, there are different ncert books for different standards, for eg - class 12th ncert book is separate and class 11th ncert book is separate. So, it's not a combined book for every standards. It's divided for ever standard so, that students can prepare accordingly to their respective standards and they don't take load or burden of any kind. Also there are different ncert books for different subjects.
There is no combined ncert book. For physics it is different. For chemistry it is different. For other subjects too, the ncert book is different, and these books are made as per standards.

Is NCERT along with Hc Verma enough for Jee Mains Physics ??????

Aditya kumar singh 1st Nov, 2020
Hi,
NCERT books is a must to prepare for jee mains from the start as it will build your base and will clear your concepts .
After completing ncert you can type help of other books like hc verma , it contains indepth explanations of  the topics . You can use it to gain a deeper understanding of concepts.
But for numerical and practice solving problems  you can take help of other books like d.c. pandey or solve previous year sample papers as many questions of previous years are repeated .
Solve atleast 10 sample papers of each subject before appearing for the exam .
Hope it helps..

How to prepare for Comedk 2021 with only 4 months remaning? I only know 11th and 12th NCERT. What should be my plan? Where should I pratice questions from? What material should I use? How should I study?

S. Saha Student Expert 1st Nov, 2020

As you said, you know NCERT class 11 and 12, which is a positive sign and almost 80% of the preparation is done with this. Now if you have completed your syllabus, then do a revision. If you find anything doubtful, try to clear it anyway. As you have still 4 months left, and this is enough time to prepare for COMEDK. You can also prepare short notes which will help you during revision. Write down all the formulae in a notebook so that you can access it anytime you want. Once done with the syllabus, move on to completing Sample papers and previous year exam papers. Go through the link for sample papers https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/comedk-uget-sample-papers Some best books for preparation of COMEDK-

  • Objective Mathematics by RD Sharma
  • Physical Chemistry by PW Atkins
  • Chemical calculations by RC Mukherjee
  • Concept of Physics by HC Verma

These books are recommended by experts. These books have large number of exercises and questions for competitive entrance exams. Once you complete the syllabus and revision, give mock tests regularly. Giving mock tests will boost your preparation level and will give you more confidence.

what is the difference between Ncert and Neet questions on basis of difficulty?

Abhishek Khurana 31st Oct, 2020

Hello Student

This is a very nice question as both are from government curriculum but the difference is that the NEET questions are compartively easy in Physics and Chemistry than Ncert whereas they require a fast and precision timing to solve them but the Ncert questions are more calculative .

You can get the concepts of NEET from NcERT but to ace the Competetion you are required to solve other books also like:-

Coaching Material.

DC pandey

Hc verma

Truemann's Elementary Biology.

You can also read the following article about the NEET prepertion Stratergy:-

Can I score full Marks in chemistry kvpy in both section just by ncert in SB stream?

sahanahegde44 30th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Hope your doing good.

yes how to prepare for kvpy and manage 12th along with it here is what you can do

  1. Dont panic while preparing.
  2. Compare topics from +1 and +2. Only a few topics are completely new in the syllabus of 12th. Rest of the chapters, you will eventually get to know, that are similar and have the same underlying concepts.

coming to the chemistry paper NCERT Is pretty much enough to cover everything but here are some sources and tips to prepare on it. Inorganic chemistry. FULL NCERT,

Some important chapters to cover would be Chemical Reactions, Environmental Chemistry, Solid State, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Isolation of Elements, Periodic Classification of Elements, Surface Chemistry, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Metals and Nonmetals, Carbon Compounds, Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Thermodynamics, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties.

Also  Solve NCERT (Inorganic Chemistry )And For Physical Chemistry :- R C Mukherjee And Organic ( M.S.Chauhan) .

All these books and resource will help you cover every part of the syllabus.

Hope you found it helpful, Thankyou. Ping us below for more such queries

Goodluck for everything ahead :)

sir is NCERT enough for JEE mains and advanced

Abhishek Roy 30th Oct, 2020

NCERT can only give you an upstart into JEE Preparation or in simple words clear your fundamentals. But in today's date with the kind of competition students face, only NCERT is not sufficient. You need a perfect strategy regarding test taking as well as selection of proper preparation materials and books for aceing the exam.

Some of my personal suggestions which besides other books proved to be critical for my preparation

DC Pandey Series Physics

Arihant Chapterwise Previous Years PCM

Resonance Rank Booster + DPP Sets

MS Chauhan + Himanshu Pandey Organic Chemistry

P Bahadur Numerical Chemistry / Textbook of Physical Chemistry

TMH Maths Physics

Allen Maths Handbook

Arihant Chemistry Handbook

is HC vermas concepts of physics enough for jee mains and advanced? Or should I follow ncert also???

Soumyadeep Sil 28th Oct, 2020

NCERT IS THE BASIC BOOK THAT YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH FIRST BEFORE TAKING UP ANY OTHER BOOKS. AS FOR HC VERMA, I WILL SAY IT IS BEST FOR NUMERICALS ( SINCE IT CONTAINS A VAST NUMBER OF PROBLEMS AS WELL AS SOLVED EXAMPLES). BUT I WILL RECOMMEND YOU TO TAKE UP ANOTHER BOOK FOR BUILDING YOUR CONCEPTS AS HC VERMA'S THEORY IS NOT SUFFICIENT. FOR THAT YOU CAN GO FOR:

  • CENGAGE SERIES (BEST OPTION AS IT CONTAINS BOTH VAST NUMBER OF SOLVED EXAMPLES, UNSOLVED PROBLEMS AND AN EFFICIENT AND APT THEORY FOR BUILDING THE CONCEPTS)
  • DC PANDEY (BEST FOR THE THEORY AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND LANGUAGE)
  • RESNICK HALLIDAY (BEST IF YOU ARE REALLY LOOKING TO BUILD AN IN DEPTH CONCEPT OF THIS SUBJECT)

Do i really need to prepare physics for NEET 2021 from HC verma or DC pandey..? Is NCERT more than enough for Neet 2021 ?

Rutuja Rohit Kalkate 26th Oct, 2020

Hello Student,

In fact, the books you have mentioned in your question are really useful for better understanding of the concept of physics. It is useful to read NCERT book for physics but I think it is still necessary to read H.C varma and DC pandey book for numerical practice of physics.
See, If you are seriously Studying for NEET Examination, then it is very important to have clear concepts of physics along with chemistry and biology, right?
So I would say, Practice solving the numericals of physics from the books H C varma and DC pandey.

Hope this helps
All the best
