NCERT
No NCERT is not sufficient for Chemistry in JEE Advanced, unlike JEE Mains. NCERT only provides a strong foundation in the subject. But Cracking JEE Advanced demands your expertise in the subject.
Besides NCERT some of the important study material you should follow are
1. Arihant Previous Years + Chemistry Handbook
2. Allen Chemistry DLP Materials
3. MS Chauhan Organic Chemistry
4. P Bahadur Numerical Chemistry/ Textbook of Physical Chemistry
5. OP Tandon Organic Chemistry
Besides this you should regular solve a lot of Chemistry Questions, Revise Concepts and make Notes. Trust me, its the notes which you make during course of your preparation which will finally help you on the day before Examination.
Hello aspirant,
Not only NCERT is enough for you in preparing KVPY SB stream. You need some other books like-
These books will help you too while preparing chemistry in KVPY SB stream.
Hope, it helps you.
Dear Student,
as of now there is not one single book containing the solutions of all subjects of NCERT textbooks. However there are various websites online where you can download all the NCERT solutions, they are either available as an e-book format or in a PDF format. But if you would like to know about a few of the reference books, here are some of them given below,
Hello Student,
DC Pandey is a good book for preparation for both JEE and NEET. It has good theory as well as good problems. For NEET you can try DC Pandey objective whereas for JEE you can try DC Pandey set of 5 books.
No, DC Pandey doesn't includes the solutions of NCERT in it. Also it does't have any separate exercise for NCERT. You might see some NCERT questions within its examples, but separately there is no exercise for NCERT solutions.
Hope this helps.

Hello, The Paramedical exam syllabus is not officially released by the AIIMS. But the question paper is set on the 11th and 12th syllabus of NCERT. There will be 90 questions and 30 questions in each section of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Each question carries 1 mark and there is negative mark of 1/3 for each wrong answer.
Best wishes.
Hello
Ncert will actually help to built your foundation which leads you to get a good marks but its better to study more books to basically build the unique thinking as well as problem solving skills which will not only in interview conducted.
Here are some the books you may go for :
For physics you can also go for HC verma
For chemistry you can also for op tandon books
For maths -RD. Sharma
For bio-k.n bhatia and trueman
Good Luck.
Hello,
This is suggested to use some other reference books along with NCERT Books .
However, NCERT books are the most preferred for national level competitive exams as these books comprise of topics in easy language which helps to grasp them well.
But reference books are useful for practicing with various questions related to a topic.
So, you should use some reference books and solve previous years KVPY question papers to prepare well.
Hope it helps!!!
The MHRD did announce that NEET 2021 will be conducted on a reduced syllabus. It was mentioned that the syllabus will be reduced atleast by 30% keeping in mind the reduced academic year. But the topics that might be deleted have not been announced yet. If you are looking to prepare for NEET on your own, you can try our NEET Knockout package which is available at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . It has as many as 17 years previous question papers with almost 5000 videos and concept videos. This is backed by Artificial Intelligence and so you can study at the comfort of your house at your own pace. And the books are being recommended based on the current syllabus:
Physics:
NCERT Physics Class XI & Class XII Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma Objective Physics By DC Pandey Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker Fundamental Physics by Pradeep Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov
Physics needs utmost focus and time because it involves with theoretical concepts and numbers. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET. The important topics are Mechanics, ElectroDynamics, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Waves. Formulae form an integral part of your preparation. The important topics are Optics, Ray Optics, Optical Instruments, Wave Optics, Electronic Devices, Electrostatics, Electric Charges and Fields, Thermodynamics, Electrostatic Potential, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter. Highest weightage goes to Optics at 10%. Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Electronic devices share 9%. Current Electricity and Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current take 8%. Dual Nature of Radiation gets 6% while Motion systems of rigid particles and body and Magnetic effects of Currents, Electromgentic waves and Magentism get 5%. Work, Energy and Power take 4%, Atoms and nuclei, Oscillation and Waves, Properties of Bulk Matter, Laws of Motion and Kinematics share 3% and the rest of the topics carry 2% weightage. Memorise as many formulae as you can and write them down and stick them as post its so that you can always see them. Practise regularly and try various kinds of questions. Solving previous papers and mock tests to test your improvement. Keep a clock and check the time its taking you to solve these questions. And improve the time as you practise more. One day of the week should be set aside for revision so as to keep the mind fresh.
