out of ncert topics in biology ? by seeing the past years ? neet 2021

S. Saha Student Expert 27th Nov, 2020
Around 97 to 98% questions in Neet are directly asked from NCERTs. So if you are studying NCERT well and thoroughly you'll be able to fetch a good score. Out of the syllabus questions are not usually asked. Everything is based on concept. Few tricky questions will be asked. As per this year's paper analysis, 5 to 7 questions in Biology were found difficult by the students. According to the paper analysis of last few years, this has been the weightage of each chapter of Biology in Neet-

Class XI-
Diversity of Living Organisms 14%
Structural Organisation in Plants & Animals 5%
Cell: Structure and Function 9%
Plant Physiology 6%
Human Physiology 20%

Class XII-
Reproduction 9%
Genetics and Evolution 18%
Biology and Human Welfare 9%
Biotechnology and its Applications 4%
Ecology and Environment 6%

However, MHRD did announce that the syllabus of Neet 2021 will be reduced due to this pandemic it would be difficult to complete the entire syllabus. To complement this, CBSE has reduced the syllabus by 30% from class 9 to 12. And it is expected that this reduced syllabus by CBSE will be retained for Neet 2021. For the reduced syllabus you can check this link http://medicine.careers360.com/articles/how-deleted-cbse-syllabus-will-impact-neet-2021

i m in class 12 th arts my subject are hindi english geography Polscience or pca i havnt learnt anything from yet i have read ncert all subject and have made my notes clearly and properly plz suggest me tym table of my learning these subject.. so i could be the next topper of haryana 12 th exam.plz

Animesh kumar 22nd Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant,

As you mentioned that have read ncert all subject and have made notes clearly. So there is a high chance of you of getting high marks in your board exams.

Regular revision of each subject. Students normally either revise too much or they don’t revise at all. This will helps in immediately understanding the concepts you have just studied.

. Time management - To keep a better track of the time one can allot to various chapters, revision, and practice, can make use of time management apps.

Solving more and more Mock Tests.

Practice at home is the most effective when you test yourself at regular intervals. The common mistake made by most students is they never review what they have solved. Whenever solving a paper, try to analyze the questions or chapters you are facing a problem with and the areas you are quick to solve. After the first mock test, one will have a list of your strong areas as well as the topics that require more attention.

. Choose the right reference books. Once you are thorough with your NCERT books, move on to reference books. Reference books will help you greatly in building knowledge about concepts through practice.

All the best

How many questions I can solve in kvpy SB stream Just by ncert?

Gbharath Raj 22nd Nov, 2020

*This is suggested to use some other reference books along with NCERT Books .However, NCERT books are the most preferred for national level competitive exams as these books comprise of topics in easy language which helps to grasp them well.

*But reference books are useful for practicing with various questions related to a topic. So, you should use some reference books and solve previous years KVPY question papers to prepare well.

* And if your target is 90+, I would firstly suggest you to practice previous year question for JEE. Generally physics and chemistry are not so much tough but mathematics is. Chemistry questions mostly comes from NCERT dont worry if you have a clean and clear concept about that,

*Try to score as much possible in the 1 mark problems and then for the 2 marks, choose physics and chemistry unless you are too much confident in maths.

*The main work you need to do, to maximising your score is the time management. And ensure that by the time you appear for the exam you have finished the entire JEE syallabus . Don't worry questions will not be as tough as JEE advance.

Hope it helpful

guys pls guide me in NEET examination in biology section 95% of questions are asked for NCERT how can I CRACK the remaining 5% questions which are asked outside NCERT????

Anirudh Singh 20th Nov, 2020

Hi.

It seems that you have misinterpreted the pattern of NEET Exam. There is no perfect claim that '95% are from NCERT and 5% are from anywhere' however 100% of those questions will be from your syllabus of class 11 and 12. The best way to prepare depends on an individual and which method suits them perfectly. Majority of questions are from NCERT does not mean that exact questions are replicated in the exam but some questions are similar and mostly all of them are from the syllabus covered in NCERT.

Best of Luck.

Mtg guide, Mtg ncert at fingertips , GRB books. among them which is the best for physics and chem for neet preperation?

Aarti singh 20th Nov, 2020
Hello aspirant
Hope you are doing well
First,  i want to suggest you something
If you are completed these books at your fingertips, I would like to suggest you,  Don't go for more books ,first clear all your concepts and basic from ncert, Completed all ncert and then go for other..
As you said, you already completed mtg guide, mtg nert..
I think, this materiali is more than sufficient for neet..
If you are finding more and more material, than you should confuse at the time of revision..
So, Start revising things again and again..
That will make your preparation strong..

Hope you find this information useful and helpful
Thank you

Due to this pandemic. We the students of NCERT BOARD are provided by 40% relaxation in our syllabus .And the board has said that ( You Have To Do 60 Marks From Your Whole Paper ) Now i am afraid about if any student does 70 or 80 marks which 60 marks will they check . please give me the answer

Mrinalini Sarkar 20th Nov, 2020

Hello,

As per your query let me just explain what they want to say by 40% relaxation in the syllabus. It means that you don't have to study those 40% and that would not come for your exams. Now apart from that you have to do 60 marks from the paper so that is just the bare minimum and you don't need to worry as the whole paper would come from syllabus and even if you do 70 or 80 from the paper it is okay to do so as they would check accordingly. In my opinion it is good to do a few extra questions so do not worry.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

what are the intermediate steps HMS and HMP - pathways in case of respiration in plants (12th ncert / neet ) ?

rajeevanand843 19th Nov, 2020

Dear student

You have not to read in detail about HMP pathway or intermediate steps involved in it. It is not of your use and usually questions are not asked from this topic in NEET. You will just tensed by reading this topic in 12th class. You will study in details in biochemistry in MBBS first year. For your knowledge of I am writing significance of this pathway below:-

1. An intermediate erytbrose-P (4C) of this pathway is precursor of shikimic acid, which goes to synthesis of aromatic compounds and amino acids.

2. This cycle provides pentose sugars Ribose-P for synthesis of nucleotides, nucleosides, ATP and GTP.

3. A five carbon intermediate Ribulose-5-phosphate may used as CO2acceptor in green cells.

4. This pathway produces reducing power NADPH2for the various biosynthetic pathways, other than photosynthesis like fats synthesis, starch synthesis, hormone synthesis and chlorophyll synthesis.

5. Intermediates like PGAL and fructose-6-phosphate of this pathway may link with glycolytic reactions.

Hope this information helps you.
