Afifa 5th Sep, 2020

Hello dear ,

NCERT books for Class 11th and class 12th along with past year papers are good enough for EAMCET preparation. spend 2- 3 hours every day, for NCERT books and prepare for boards right from the start.  . Study more in textbooks because it contains more information  , you can give more time for same topics while studying for your board exams and study from the perspective of your competitive exam.

Good luck !

I am a general category student of Bihar and has secured 578/720 in NEET 2020 but I am doubtful of getting a government medical seat in India. Would revising NCERT be enough to get maximum scholarship in BPKIHS entrance.

How many questions will be there from NCERT biology for neet 2020?

S. Saha Student Expert 1st Sep, 2020
In general around 95% questions in Neet are directly asked from NCERT Textbooks as NCERT books are the best study materials written in simple Language for having a clear conception over all the topics. If you read all the topics line by line properly you can expect good score in Biology Section of Neet. Rather all the experts recommend to start with NCERT Textbooks and then move on to some standard reference books cause these books have previous year exam papers, or sample papers for solving or already solved. Based on previous few years' question paper analysis it's the weightage of important chapters-Biology Diversity of Living Organisms 14%, Cell: Structure and Function 9% , Human Physiology 20% , Reproduction 9%, Genetics and Evolution 18%, Biology and Human Welfare 9%. During last days, you should give mock tests as much as possible. Also solve previous years' questions papers. This will give you an idea about what types of questions are actually asked. Then find out your weak areas and work on them.

Is HC Verma, RD Sharma, NCERT Chemistry and English proficiency and logical reasoning (for bitsat only) enough to get atleast 230+ in mains and 380+ in bitsat?

Shawana Shaikh 31st Aug, 2020

Hey Aspirant,

If you mug up each pages and thorough with these books, then no need to have any further books. Just go through older question papers after your study in addition take mock test by yourself.

Hope this will help you.

I read biology ncert multiple times still I get low mark in my mock paper I preparing neet 2020 how I score 500+ mark?

Aishwary Jaiswal 30th Aug, 2020

hello aspirant,

it's good that you are preparing for neet, but let me tell you that only NCERT books won't help you get very good marks in mock test papers or in the exam itself,

you need to switch to some site books like  Exploring Biology (Vol 1 and 2) by Sanjay Sharma and Sudhakar Banerjee (Arihant Publications) Objective Biology (Vol 1, 2 and 3) by K N Bhatia/ K Bhatia (Dinesh Publications)

they will surely help.

I am a bitsat 2021 aspirant. I had few doubts in which books to refer. Am referring HC Verma for physics, RD Sharma for maths. is these books enough? And also is ncert enough for chemistry? If no, which book should I refer?

Kamal Kishor Chaurasiya 29th Aug, 2020

Hi aspirant,

You are preparing for BITSAT examination. Hence it is necessary for you to study well You are following HC Verma for Physics. You should continue following this and when you are done with this you can switch to DC Pandey and Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick & Walker.

In Chemistry NCERT is holy bible for you. You should study it thoroughly and ensure that not a single line is left unstudied especially in Organic and Inorganic chemistry. After doing this you can study from MS Chouhan book.

In Mathematics apart from RD Sharma and since RD sharma is not much sufficient you should follow other books like that of SL Loney, IA Maron, Cengage etc depending on topics.

Hope that I answered your query.

All the best.

How much marks we can max score in biology in neet by reading only ncert book

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th Aug, 2020
Hi

It quite difficult to predict how much marks you will get if you prepare from only NCERT Biology .

Actually it all depends upon
how you have read the NCERT book like whether you have gone well through the chapter, through each paragraph and you remember them or not and after completing each chapter have you practice questions or not
as only reading NCERT will not help you If You Don't Practice MCQs as in neet only MCQs are there and to perform will one needs to practice them.

But yes at least around 95% in NEET Biology is from NCERT so if you go well through NCERT and master it you can easily get at least 300 marks or more depending upon how well you have completed NCERT and practiced MCQs .

To get an idea of marks and your preparation go through,  previous year NEET  questions ,it will let you know the examination pattern, type and difficulty level of questions  and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination,

Thankyou
