I am in 12th right now and preparing for Comedk 2021, can i just study ncert 1st and 2nd year textbooks and practice previous year papers. Is that enough for comedk?

S. Saha Student Expert 11th Aug, 2020
There will be three sections in COMEDK paper- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You are going to appear for COMEDK 2021 and there are chances that the syllabus for the exam will be reduced as the CBSE has reduced the syllabus from Class 9 to 12 by 30%. Also the academic year has not yet started, so the syllabus for COMEDK 2021 can also be reduced. So for now, you can prepare from NCERT Textbooks of Class 11 and 12. NCERTs are the best as these are written in simple Language which is understandable to everyone. Once the syllabus for COMEDK 2021 is announced, you can move on to other books to prepare in depth. For complex physics problems, you can rely on Concepts of Physics by H C Verma. Chemistry Book for COMEDK by Dr. Sonar Maruti H and Solve problems from Mathematics Book COMEDK by M. R. Hanumantharaya, H. S. Mahadevaiah. Solve previous few years' exam papers of COMEDK to know what type of questions are actually asked. Once the syllabus is announced, you can start the preparation in full fledged way. For now, rather than buying many books you must stick to NCERTs.

Is the math in COMEDK ncert based? If I only use mtg ncert at your fingertips math, would that be enough for COMEDK math

Kirti 10th Aug, 2020

Yes, maths in comedk is NCERT based. If you practice questions from NCERT then you can easily crack it. Comedk is comparatively easy than JEE mains. Understand the concepts and don't forget to practice the previous year papers.

can I get 90/100 in chemistry in jee mains if I do only ncert and previous year question paper?

Hrisheekesh Singh 10th Aug, 2020

Hi Vishal,

See this is very much harder to study only NCERT and  previous year question papers and get 90/100 in Chemistry in JEE Mains Exam. I am not saying it is impossible, if you study and memorize each and every page of NCERT and understand every concept well and practice out last 10 years question papers, then it might be possible.

Else you will have to go through a good book other than NCERT for your JEE Mains preparation.

I hope this information helps you.

Is mtg ncert at your fingertips math enough for KCET math?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 10th Aug, 2020
Hello,

It is good but definitely not enough. The right strategy would be to complete NCERTs amd PUC books and then move on to RD Sharma and after completing it you should solve questions from TMH publications book for mathematics and apart from that solve previous year question papers of Comedk.
These are some books that can also help :

I want to give UPSC 2022. How long it will take to complete NCERT HISTORY BOOK SET normally?I made my tt in which I can cover till 31st October.

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 7th Aug, 2020
Hello.

It depends on your speed. In the first reading, don't make any notes out of it.Just simply read the NCERTs like a story. If you are speedy reader then you can easily complete 3 NCERTs in day and if you are slow reader then you can complete 2 in a day.Dont think about the pages of the book because very less texts are in the pages. You will have to devote 6-8 hours in a day in preparation of UPSC and if you can manage to give 8 hours then you can complete all sets of history books in just 10 days.
Ideally all the NCERTs should be completed within a month.

I hope this helps.
