NCERT
Hello dear student,
The role of NCERT in JEE mains is that . The syllabus of jee mains consist of the chapters that NCERT have . For all the three subjects that is physics chemistry and mathematics. all the questions that you will get in the exam will revolve around the syllabus or comes directly from the syllabus. So you need to be prepared with that . NCERT is the soul of the exam rather we should say .
Thank you
If you are preparing for IIT JEE. Then you must complete all the syllabus completing NCERT of class 11th for Chemistry subject is just the 10% that you shave done so far . So you can complete all the chapters of 11th and 12th for Chemistry physics and mathematics. then you can you jump on the previous year question papers and you can solve MCQs because that will help you to solve question in less time. Also build your approach to solve question. Do it and it will be helpful
Raja, 97-98% of the questions are asked from NCERT books alone. The rest 2-3% are from other books. Assuming that you only study NCERT books, you should be able to answer 98% of the questions. You just need to be careful so as not to give incorrect answers. You get to save every point that you scored. Now what you will score depends on what you have learnt. So even if you go by NCERT books, your preparation level is what decides how much you score in the exam. But on a general note, if you follow NCERT books you will score 200 and above. Dear Aspirant,
No, NCERTs are more like a road map for the preparation but they are not enough for the preparation. You need other books, previous year question papers, sometime some concept lectures, etc.
1. Check out the syllabus and structure your preparation, made a plan on how you're going to cover the syllabus.
The best thing to help you in this is coaching material from some good institute. They have their material prepared according to the need of the Exam.
2. When the plan is ready, make a schedule. Remember timetable matters a lot for this one year. Be ready to give at least 6 hours per day for the preparation.
3. Solve the questions from question banks and previous year NEET papers.
4. Repeat these steps. Follow --> Learn --> practice.
5. Also keep on revising the stuff every third week. It is also a very crucial step in your preparation.

Hi
NCERT Chemistry book is really good for building basic concepts , but when it comes to entrance examinations like in JEE mains which is highly competitive , then NCERT chemistry is good but is not enough if you want to get good marks. Especially , the Physical and organic part of NCERT is not sufficient for your JEE Mains, although inorganic part of NCERT is quite good and sufficient.
Some of the top books which you can follow for the preparation of your JEE examination for Chemistry is provided below:-

Physics needs utmost focus and time because it involves with theoretical concepts and numbers. There should be a systematic approach in preparing for NEET. The important topics are Mechanics, ElectroDynamics, Modern Physics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Optics, Simple Harmonic Motion, Waves. Formulae form an integral part of your preparation. The important topics are Optics, Ray Optics, Optical Instruments, Wave Optics, Electronic Devices, Electrostatics, Electric Charges and Fields, Thermodynamics, Electrostatic Potential, Current Electricity, Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter. Highest weightage goes to Optics at 10%. Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Electronic devices share 9%. Current Electricity and Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current take 8%. Dual Nature of Radiation gets 6% while Motion systems of rigid particles and body and Magnetic effects of Currents, Electromgentic waves and Magentism get 5%. Work, Energy and Power take 4%, Atoms and nuclei, Oscillation and Waves, Properties of Bulk Matter, Laws of Motion and Kinematics share 3% and the rest of the topics carry 2% weightage. Memorise as many formulae as you can and write them down and stick them as post its so that you can always see them. Practise regularly and try various kinds of questions. Solving previous papers and mock tests to test your improvement. Keep a clock and check the time its taking you to solve these questions. And improve the time as you practise more. Dear aspirant,
from your question it appears that you want to know that whether the math NCERT is enough for you to get good marks in maths section of jee main.
NCERT textbooks not enough for preparing for JEE exam. You have to use other important books like RD Sharma, RS Aggarwal, Arihant previous year question papers, etc.
in the remaining time however I suggest you must go with the previous year question papers and solve those papers completely first try to solve in the time limit and then see for your mistakes and then solve the complete paper do this with at least 20 question papers till the exam date which is 18 to 23 July 2020.
Hope this helps. Thank you
