Manisha nayak 14th Aug, 2021

Hello student,

Hope you are in good health. So the answer to your question is as follows:-

Neet 2021 is going to be held on 12th september 2021, and it is the entrance exam to get admission in various courses like MBBS , BDS, AYUSH COURSES, BSC nursing this year. So , NEET have 2 type of quota in the counselling , first one is

  • State quota - Eligibility for the State Quota Seats (85%) ; All states participating in NEET 2021 would be able to fill 85 percent of MBBS/BDS seats through state counselling, with the remaining 15% of seats being filled through centralised All India counselling. The states' eligibility for the 85 percent quota seats is listed below:

Candidates must have finished or be scheduled to complete their 10th and 12th grades in the state.
The candidate must be a legal resident of the state.
The candidate must be able to show proof of residency in the state.
  • Seats in government medical institutions are reserved under the 15% All India Quota:-According to the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admissions) Act, 2006, 15% of seats in Central Educational Institutions are reserved for SC applicants, 7.5 percent for ST candidates, and 27 percent of seats in Central Educational Institutions are allocated for OBC students exclusively.

So, in your case if you apply for state quota in Bihar then you have to make sure that you show the domicile certificate at the time of counselling then only you will be eligible for state quota admission.

Hope this helps you!

Hello sir, my birth place is bihar but ive completed 8th to 12th from west bengal.Ive EWS certificate of bihar. Ive filled west bengal as my present and permanent address. will my bihar EWS certificate be valid in west bengal state quota counselling. Ive filled EWS in neet application form.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 13th Aug, 2021

hi,

see generally for state quota counselling you have to showed the category certificates ssued by state authority of ews category, unless you will not have the benefits of seat reservation. if you are a domicile of west bengal your category certificates are also need to  testify by the state authority for ews.

nevertheless you may do correction if you have the valid certificate.

neet ug form correction has started and would end on August 14, 2021, till 2:00 pm . So if you have the exact certificate of category you should take general category as an option to fill the form.

hi ,sir please answer me i am eligible for gujarat state EWS quota not for India.so what i should select in neet form now

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 5th Aug, 2021
Hi

You need to choose general as your category while filling the neet applicationform

This is because,

NEET is a national level entrance exam and so you need to fill your category as per the category you belong at central level. So, you cannot choose ews category if you don't belong to it at central level.

But yes,
While filling the form of state counselling you can definitely choose ews as your category because you belong to ews at state level and can avail reservation butfor all India counselling you will have to participate as a general category.

To help you further, here's how you can fill neet application form

To fill the application form you need to go through 5 steps i. e

*neet registration :- first of all visit theofficial website of neet i. e ntaneet to generate your login credentials,

*then fill the form i. e you need to fill your personal academic and contact details

*and after that you need to go for uploading your documents,

*then pay the application fee

  • General :- 1500/-

  • General-EWS/ OBC-NCL :- 1400

  • SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender :- 800

  • Foreign candidate :- 7500

*And finally you should take the printout of confirmation page.

For detailed step by step procedure to fill neet application form, follow the below steps

drar sir i m from uttar pradesh and belong to jaat category. in neet form which category i have to choose - according to state wise or according to central list of reservation?? because in UP jaat comes under OBC but in central list comes under General category. plz help me... Lavi Chaudhary

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 28th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

According to the reservation criteria of NEET 2021, if a candidate falls under the central OBC list then he/she will be allowed to avail benefits of reserved category. As you mentioned that in OBC central list, you do not fall in the reserved category, so you will be treated as a general/open category candidate, thus you need to fill General category in the NEET application form.

Thankyou!
