can i apply ews in state counselling even if i didnt apply ews in neet form

S. Saha Student Expert 16th Nov, 2020
Once you fill in your application form, the last chance to make any corrections in your application form is the correction window. Once the correction window has been closed and even the examination has been conducted, you can't make any changes. Even the merit list has been prepared based on your score in the examination and the category that you have entered in your application. So, your category can't be changed anymore after the results have been declared. To be Frank, you cannot change your category once the results have been declared. You'll be treated as general category candidate.

I have filled obc(ncl) in neet form. i belong to obc certified by only west bengal government. i have my certificate too. so for bihar counseling what shoul i fill ebc or UR because i dont think my obc certificate will be eligible for bihar. and is there any problem in my counselling?

iammohdshareef 12th Nov, 2020

If you belong to West Bengal, you can use your OBC-NCL certificate only in West Bengal Counseling and All India Counselling if this Community is listed under Central OBC list. If you do not have Bihar domicile, then you can only participate as a General Category Candidate. Outside State Candidates will not be able to use their Category for reservation benefits. They can only try for Management Quota seats in Private Medical Colleges and other seats. And they will all fall under Open Category only.

I am from j&k .i am a neet aspirant.i fill my neet form as general.but now i submitted my ews certificate during neet registration.are they going to accept it at the time of counselling.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Nov, 2020

The correction window is the last chance for you to make any changes to your NEET application form. NTA neither will change your details on your behalf nor does it entertain any requests for changes in your application form. So if you have selected General Category as your Category during the time of filling the application form, you cannot claim EWS reservation at the time of Counselling because the merit list has been prepared on the basis of the Category that you mentioned when you filled the NEET application form.

neet form aply ke liye maximum age kya hai obc ke liye

Abhishek Khurana 1st Nov, 2020

Hello Student

I would like to tell you that there is a rule that there is now no upper limit to apply for the NEET as few years back it was a rule that a person can give neet only for upto 25 for the gen category as the upper age limit and 30 for the reserved category there was a rule that a person can give  the paper a max of only 3 times but now this rule is cancelled as the country requires more no of doctors these days.

Due to increasing competetion a person should not consider his/her age and just remember their dream and work for it.

You should read the following article about the elegibility criteria of Neet:-

You can check the cutoff of the NEET 2020 :-

You can also use our collage predictor to understand your standing in the competetion:-

I fill in neet form Delhi as a permanent address can i participate with a domecile certificate in any state councelling

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 28th Oct, 2020

There are 2 types of Counsellings through which MBBS, BDS, Ayush seats are filled. They are All India Counselling and State Counselling. Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. In your case it is not what you filled in as your permanent address that matters but the State that you hold the domicile of that matters to appear for State Counselling. You cannot participate in any State Counselling without its domicile.

I belong to obc category from up so i choose obc as the option in neet form now i going for homeopathy colleges admission in soth india i dont have caste certificate will there be problem i do have obc certificate but it is 6 or 7 year old so what to do now

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 2nd Dec, 2020

You need to check if the Community you belong to is also  listed under Central OBC list. You can check that at: http://www.ncbc.nic.in/user_panel/centralliststateview.aspx . You haven't mentioned whether you will be opting for All India Counselling or State Counselling for admission to BHMS. If its regarding All India Counselling, you need to check if your Community is listed in the Central OBC list. Now if it is listed here, then you can claim OBC reservation or else you will have to go under General Category. If it is for State Counsellings of other States except for UP whose domicile you hold, you cannot claim OBC reservation. You need to apply under General Category alone. This is because you cannot opt for reservation in other States. Ideally every OBC certificate is valid for 3 years and so you will have to get one done at the earliest to be able to claim its benefits.

Hope you're doing good in this pandemic situation.

To answer your question yes you can take part in Maharashtra state counselling for BSc nursing even when you are in first year of Bsc biochemistry there would be absolutely no problem.

But you need to understand that before you confirm the seat for BSC nursing you will have leave your seat at BSc biochemistry. I hope you know that. Yes it's ok that you filled code 5.

So they would be no problems. You don't need to worry. Also if you want you can check out your chances of getting an MBBS seat from your marks you can use our college predictor tool.
