For BSC HONOURS IN MATHEMATICS, DU OR BHU UNIVERSITY which is better for Career Growth

gopi 8th Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Both Delhi University (DU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU) are elite universities and each has its own merits. Here is a summarized view of the two universities:

  • Delhi University (DU): This offers great exposure, diverse peer interaction opportunities, and good placement/internship options, especially since it is situated in a metro city with an active academic environment and flourishing corporate industry. The curriculum is regularly updated, supplemented with a variety of extracurricular and research amenities.
  • Banaras Hindu University: BHU has a vibrant academic environment and a fantastic mathematics program with dedicated faculty. The academic environment is research-based and complemented with excellent alumni, many of whom have gone on to complete their higher studies (i.e. IIT JAM, GATE, etc) or to international programs.

In summary, for a career based program, DU is possibly less tedious and better for networking/job opportunities in metros, whilst BHU is a good option for research and higher study opportunities.

Akansha Sharma 2nd Jun, 2025

With 230 marks in NEET 2025, getting into government BPT colleges in Mumbai is difficult. But you can try private colleges like K J Somaiya College of Physiotherapy, Terna Physiotherapy College, or MGM College of Physiotherapy. These colleges may accept your score and have fees around 1-3 lakhs per year. Admission might be through entrance exams or merit. Check their official websites for details and apply on time.

I was born in Maharashtra,my father and mother lived their for 25+ years we are ancestored in Maharashtra,but i have studied from class nursery to 12th in Madhya Pradesh, my father only came here for work, we have home,farm land in MH am i eligible for maharastra domicile.(my parents dont have dom

Rupsa Banerjee 30th Jul, 2025

Dear aspirant,

Yes, you can be eligible for Maharashtra domicile even if you studied in Madhya Pradesh. Since you were born in Maharashtra and your parents have lived there for over 25 years with ancestral roots, plus owning a home and farmland in the state, these factors strongly support your claim. Your father's move to MP was work-related, which doesn't affect your eligibility. However, you have to keep in mind that you will need to submit proper proof like your birth certificate from Maharashtra and documents showing your parents' long term residence or property ownership. Even if your parents don’t currently have a domicile certificate, they can apply for it, which will further strengthen your case.

Thank you

Calculate the focal length ofa reading glass of a person if his distance of ditinct visionis 75cm

Afreen 15th Apr, 2025

To calculate the focal length of a reading glass (convex lens), we can use the lens formula:

1/f = 1/v - 1/u

Given:

v = -75 cm (distance of distinct vision, negative because it's on the same side as the object)

u = -25 cm (normal near point, assume)

However, since the normal near point is not given, we'll use the formula for a simple magnifier:

f = D / (D/d - 1)

where D = 25 cm (normal near point) and d = 75 cm (distance of distinct vision)

f = 25 / (75/25 - 1)

f = 25 / (3 - 1)

f = 25 / 2

f = 37.5 cm

The focal length of the reading glass is 37.5 cm.

if a student fail in compartment exam in uttrakhand board in one subject so next year they will have to reattempt the exam of only fail subject or all the subjects?

Prachi Kumari 4th Nov, 2024

Hello,

If a student fails in a compartment exam in the Uttarakhand Board for one subject, they are generally required to reappear only for that specific subject in the next year's compartment exam, not all subjects.

The compartment exam is designed to give students a second chance to pass in the specific subject they failed, without affecting their other subject scores. However, if they fail again, they may have the option to reappear for the compartment exam in subsequent years or as per the board's specific regulations.

For the most accurate and updated information, it's best to consult with the Uttarakhand Board or check their official notifications, as rules may sometimes change.

Hope it helps !
