I have gotten 545 marks in NEET UG 2020. I am from UP. Are there any chances i can get a government college anywhere?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 14th Sep, 2020

Ish, you haven't mentioned your Category. This is important because every Category has different cut offs. With a score of 545, your rank might be approximately between 23695-27650 . This is an expected rank range: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank . Now regarding the Colleges that you may have a shot at, you have a chance in it is tad difficult with this score if you belong to General Category or EWS or OBC. But if you belong to Reserved Categories, you might have a chance at GMC. Now this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?

Rashmita Paul 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Your NEET score is 405.  Usually for  BAMS one must score 420+  for general category for government college. For private it is 300+. Last years cut-off for BHMS is 320-300 for government college. For private college one must get 200 marks.  Adding it with 15% All India quota  and 85% state quota seats in government colleges. Your Overall Percentile is:   90.27 - 90.77 and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is :  133766 - 165916 .

i got 471 marks in neet ug 2020 which colleges should i apply from all India quota for semi government or private colleges (from Haryana)

Trisha Bhattacharyya 23rd Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant,

You have just mentioned your score in your query and not your rank. This year, the maximum scores went as high as 720 and so according to previous year's data, a score of 471 will yield a much lower rank that that of previous year. Though the cutoffs for the different colleges vary each year, you still have a low chance at getting into the MBBS and BDS colleges through the All India quota seats (15%). Since you have a domicile of Haryana, you can get into the deemed government and private medical colleges though then State Quota seats (85%).

To know about previous year's cutoffs for each college in Haryana, kindly visit this Link: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-haryana

To know about the exact list of colleges that you have a fair chance in, kindly use the NEET UG college predictor tool: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope this helps!

I got 489 marks in neet ug 2020 and my domicile state is Up and category is general. Is there any chance to get admission in in BDS in government college?

ABHIK SHAW 23rd Oct, 2020

Hello,

Based upon the marks that you have scored, and for general category, you have better chances for the private colleges to study BDS for state quota seats. Now although the BDS cutoff marks are generally lower than that of MBBS, still for government colleges you have less chances. Check out the NEET 2019 UP cutoffs from the link provided below -

i scored 479 in neet ug 2020. my All india rank is 104551 , category rank is 46089 and category pH rank is 89 and Im from Uttar Pradesh can i get government medical college for mbbs

Shivani sunil kakde 23rd Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

Your score is good. But not that good for Uttar Pradesh domicile students to get government seat with these score. A general candidate must score atleast 570 and above marks in NEET to secure government seat in Uttar Pradesh through state level quota. So its difficult to get a government seat with your score in Uttar Pradesh.

i get 486 marks in neet ug 2020;i belong to obc category, will i get bds government college my category rank is 43,306

Anurag Khanna 23rd Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as Bihar according to your profile.

So on such marks and category you have no chances of getting government dental college in Bihar under state quota according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the lowest cut-off marks was 570 for Patna Dental College, Patna under Home state quota for OBC category. But yes you can get some private dental colleges like :-

  • Buddha Institute of Dental Science & Hospital, Patna
  • Mithila Minority Dental College & Hospital

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-bihar

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
