Myself from UP state, UR category. want to check whether MBBS or BDS seat in govt college is possible with 549 marks in neet ug 2021

maaztauquir24 23rd Dec, 2021

Hi reader,

according to neet 2020, The last seat alloted under unreserved open category (general) was at 607 marks in AMC, Bahraich .

with the introduction of 900 seats this year the cutoff may decrease a bit in mbbs but it seems improbable to get govt mbbs/bds  seat at 549 marks

for having a better idea of your chances, check the college predictor

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_cp

for any query message in comment section

thank you

I am from UR category, I have scored 549 marks in NEET UG 2021. Whether Govt. seat possible in MBBS or BDS in MP state quota.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 23rd Dec, 2021

Hello,

Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in MBBS in Government Institute but you have chances to get seat in private institute under Government Quota. Also you have chances of getting seat in Government Dental Institute under Government Quota. Here is the list of few institutes in which you have chances of getting seat under general category

MBBS

  • AMALTAS INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES: 504
  • CHIRAYU MEDICAL COLLEGE BHOPAL: 541
  • INDEX MEDICAL COLLEGE INDORE: 511
  • MAHAVEER INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE AND RESEARCH BHOPAL : 495

BDS

  • GOVT DENTAL COLLEGE INDORE: 548
  • COLLEGE OF DENTAL SCIENCE AND HOSPITAL RAU INDORE: 372

I am from UR category and scored 549 marks in NEET UG 2021. Whether Govt. seat is possible for MBBS or BDS in Uttar Pradesh.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 23rd Dec, 2021

Hi

Your profile suggests that you are domicile of Delhi so you will be eligible for All india quota for admission in UP for govt college.

It is difficult to make prediction as cut off keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

------------) number of students that appeared in the neet exam,

------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,

------------)  toughness level of the neet examination

------------)  number of seats available

------------) the category you are from etc

Anyway,

when we go through previous year trends

>>>>>> With  549 marks,

You have low chances for mbbs/BDS in government colleges in UP

For example,

Even under state quota, in neet  2020,  610 marks  for general category was the cut off / lowest marks  to get a seat in Govt. Medical College   under UP  state quota and it was for Autonomous State Medical College and Associated Teaching Hospital, Bahraich

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up/amp

Under 15 % all india quota counselling conducted for government colleges, your chances are even lower for government mbbs colleges because its cut off goes even higher. So, your chances are very low.

Same is the case with the BDS your chances are low for government colleges

But yes,

You have  chances in deemed universities for mbbs which are listed below along with their cut off marks in neet 2020,2nd round all india counselling conducted  for 100 % deemed university seats   :-

----------) JSS Medical College, Jagadguru:- 528 marks

----------) Symbiosis , Pune:- 528 marks

----------) K.S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru:- 491 marks

----------) Rural Medical College and PIMS, Loni:- 489 marks

----------) Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi:- 479 marks

----------) SDU Medical College, Kolar:- 466 marks

----------) SBKS Med. Inst. and Res. Centre, Sumandeep  Vadodara:- 446 marks

----------) Yenepoya Manglaore:-436 marks

And  a few more

This has been  predicted on the basis of previous years data  but  cutoff keeps changing so to have clear picture of the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

if someone mistake in percentage in part 1 means if he fills total aggregate percentage instead of aggregate percentage of pcb in part 1 is it big issue in Rajasthan neet UG 2021 counseling. but I filled it correctly in part 2 there is no more difference only a difference of 0.2

monstwerdash 22nd Dec, 2021

Hey there ,

Hope you are doing well . See , you have given NEET and are now participating in the Counselling, that means you were eligible for the exam i.e. your aggregate was atleast 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in 12th standard from a recognised board. So ,if you filled a bit incorrectly in part 1 and you have also mentioned that there isn't a very big difference in the percentages so I don't think there'll be any issue as such .

Hope this helped .

I am from Telangana (OU), if I want to apply for Andhra Pradesh state quota counseling for neet ug 2021..will i be considered local or non local? can I apply for AP Medical colleges in both state quota and all India quota?

Karishma Sawhney 29th Jan, 2022

Hello aspirant,

The Andhra Pradesh state counseling for NEET UG has started today. Only candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh (domiciled) are eligible to take part in the process and can apply for both Category A and Category B seats in private medical/dental colleges.

FOR STATE QUOTA (PRIVATE COLLEGES)- However, since you reside in Telangana, you will apply as a non local. If you wish to apply for management quota seats (Category B seats), you will have to wait for further notice from the Andhra Pradesh state authorities. Keep visiting the official website for latest updates.

FOR ALL INDIA QUOTA- yes, you can apply for both state and all India quota. However, the all India quota will only offer government seats and not private seats.

Hope it helps!

I scored 430 marks in neet Ug 2021. I belong to general category and it was my 3rd attempt. Its difficult for me to get government college for mbbs bds or bams. I cant afford private college. I dont want to repeat once again. I feel hopeless and worthless. What should I do?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 28th Jan, 2022

See you have invested 3 years of your life in order to pursue you dream. Now if you can't afford private college or if you don't want to go for  another year drop, then my honest opinion is to move on.

The primary reason of being a doctor is your dream but you can be serve your nation in many other ways. Go for course such as BSc Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pscyhology, Genetics and pursue a research career in this fields. You will find that your research will be used by doctors in many ways. So thats also an achievement, may be an indirect one but still you will be a part of the clinical systems.

If you do a PhD in Clinical Psychology then you can obviously become an Psychologist which also a kind of Doctor alike profession. Apart from this if you pursue a career in Biology, you can go for Neuroscience, Cognitive Science etc which are fields in which the researches influences the clinical practices.

If you want you can go for BPT and become an Physiotherapist, if you want, you can go for Pharma/Biotechnology and can do research in Vaccicology.

See we all see doctors and as a result it feels like the Doctors are the best. But behind doctors there are a lot of studies and investment of other fields. So if you go for this courses you will be providing knowledges to the doctors for the betterment of the society.

So don't loose hope, Its the time to step up and excel in Life... and I believe if you have perseverance to study for NEET for 3 years, you have a great perseverance limit.
