Hello. Out of Great Lakes Gurgaon, IMT Hyderabad, NMIMS Indore and IBS Hyderabad, which is the best pick?

Tushar Sharma 30th Mar, 2019

Hello

IBS Hyderabad is the only b school of India that teaches only Harvard cases in the 3rd and 4th semester. More than 1000 cases are discussed under the guidance of some internationally acclaimed Professors. It is one of the most academically superior business university of the entire Asia.

The average placement for top 25% was around 9.5 lacs

Fees structure:

For IBS  Hyderabad, it is around Rs. 14 lakhs.

IMT

Faculty here are very dedicated and motivating. They come with both Academic and Industry background and experiences, which help us relate better to the subject. 80% of the faculty are PhD in their field of study and 70% of them come from top notch MBA colleges with at least 7-10 years of industry experience.

Placements : The highest package offered for this year is Rs 22.5 lakhs per annum with prominent companies like D.E.Shaw, Amazon, Deloitte, Factset, HDFC Bank, iNautix etc., offering placements. The average package is at around 6.97 lakhs per annum.

Fees is around 13-14 lacs.

NMIMS Indore:

NMIMS Indore has very recently been established compared to which the Mumbai campus has been around for 35+ years.

Up until now the first batch hasn't even graduated from the Indore Campus so there's no data to make the comparison.

Even without the data it can be very easily inferred that atleast as of now the Indore campus is nowhere near as good as the one in Mumbai

Great Lakes

Apart from the world class curriculum and faculty that is common to the PGPM at both campuses, the following are some of the highlights of the PGPM at Gurgaon campus

Location in the corporate hub of Delhi NCR with extensive industry engagement.

Focus on diverse industries especially on emerging areas like E-Commerce/Internet Businesses, Analytics, etc.

Fully mentored compulsory live projects with corporates in NCR. Helps students explore opportunities in new industries.

Individual Student mentorship and career guidance.

Excellent placement track record (with avg. salary of over 10 lakhs)

The college depends on your requirement and what you aspire, hence would suggest you to take a call on the college very wisely.

Wish You all the best

WHAT IS FEES FOR NMIMS FOR MBA TECH (5 YEAR)

Shanu Anand 26th Mar, 2019
Hello Subhash,
Just don't look at the fees of NMIMS. Look at the money spent from the beginning.

You spend Rs. 1800 for first attempt of your NMAT. Then for NMIMS to consider your NMAT score, they ask you more of around Rs. 1200. Such 3 attempts = 3*3000 = Rs. 9000 gone into your entrance exam only.

For entrance exam they offer some online MOCKs which will cost you around Rs. 2000.

Along with it there is also NMAT OFFICIAL GUIDE which will cost you around 500. The irony is that there were hundreds of words given in that book and the words asked in the exam were different. So you buy that book, memorise those thousand words and in exam you end up getting some other words in verbal section. Haaash!!

Then after this when you clear your entrance test, they'll ask you more amount for the interview. That's around Rs. 1000+.

Finally you clear the interview and end up getting a seat in NMIMS. Now the fee is around 18 lacs which doesn't include accomodation and food like IIMs and average package is around 10 or 12 lacs PA. They declare it to be around 18 lacs but I am pretty sure it is a highly inflated number. My friend said that everyone, the people who were academically average in NMIMS, ends up getting 10 LPA and also some in 8 lacs LPA as their salary.

manisha.gupta 19th Mar, 2019

Hello Pranjali,

Based on this score the chances seems less to get NMIMS Mumbai but the chances should be there to get NMIMS Bangalore & Hyderabad. You can also use NMAT Pathfinder tool with the given below link.

Hello sir what is the cutoff of NMIMS NPAT for b.pharma+mba course.

Aakanksha Singh Mahror 13th Mar, 2019

Hello Nandini,

NPAT offers admissions to multiple courses and thus eligibility criteria vary for each course.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Candidates must have passed 12th class or equivalent examination including International Baccalaureate Diploma Science or science vocational with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics Chemistry and Biology (PCB).
  • Candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject.
  • An aggregate minimum score of 50% in PCM/PCB is required to be eligible in NPAT 2019.
  • Candidates awaiting their class 12th result this year are also eligible to apply.
  • The candidates who have their result in GPA/CGPA should get the equivalent percentage for the same from the concerned board/university in written.

It is mandatory for the candidates to pass the qualifying examination in one attempt. A single mark sheet displaying marks of all compulsory subjects is mandatory. A compartmentalized mark sheet won’t be considered.

Exam Duration was of 1 hour 40 minutes (20 minutes lesser than previous years) in 2018. You need to be super fast in this exam, as you get only 100 minutes to answer 120 questions. This exam has no negative marking for any wrong or unattempted response.

There is no such cut-off for NPAT. However, a score of 95–105 should easily get you the MBA+B. Pharma Course. Considering you attempted all the questions with an accuracy of 85%.

Even a score of 75+ will get you a rank well within 1500 which is pretty good. One thing more, your marks won't be displayed on the official website, you will be allotted a merit rank based on your marks.

Hope it helps!!

Good Luck :)
