under 56 percentile mba or pgdm colleges with under 10 lakh

Yash 26th Sep, 2024

Hi!

Admission to the MBA college in India is based on scores or percentile obtained by candidates in the entrance examinations such as CAT / XAT/ CMAT / MAT, etc. No college predefines its admission cutoff as it may vary every year depending upon a number of factors. 56 percentile in any of the entrance examination might not fetch you an Interview call from a number of B-Schools if you are a general category candidate. But, if you belong to the reserved category, there might be a good chance for that you will receive an Interview call from a business school.

Given below is the list of some of the MBA/ PGDM colleges in India which charge a fee of less than Rs. 10 lakh for the programme:

  • FMS Delhi
  • TISS Mumbai
  • JBIMS
  • IIT Jodhpur
  • IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
  • IIT Guwahati
  • Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi
  • Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi
  • UBS Chandigarh
  • NIT Calicut
  • NIT Trichy, etc.

Based on the percentile obtained, candidates can predict the college they will get by using the following College Predictors .

I got 63 Percentile In Cat . What options I have to get admission in a college for Mba or Pgdm under budget of 10 lakhs .

Ishita 4th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Your performance in CAT is somewhat near average, if not below. With 63 percentile, I don't think you will be able to ace IIMs or any top-rated MBA colleges. All you can opt for is a Tier 2 or Tier 3 MBA college.

MBA is a tad bit expensive course, where the semester-wise fee could range anywhere from 5-10 Lacs, making it a whopping 20 Lac course.

I would sincerely suggest that you give the CAT exam again the next year, with a lot more preparations, and get a higher percentile.

Still, colleges that may accept you with 63 percentile with your 10 L budget are-

  • AIMS Institute, Bangalore
  • NDIM, Delhi
  • JIMS Rohini, Delhi
  • DBS Dehradun

These are some of the better known MBA colleges.
