The qualification for becoming an optometrist:
To be an optometrist, you need to earn a degree in the course of optometry, and this need to be approved by General Optical Council. The optometry is a four year course, you do not need NEET qualification to this. However, you must score, 50% marks in your 12th standard exams.

There are both kind of professionals available in some cases the Physiotherapist earns more than Optometrist and some cases are there in which the Optometrist earn more than the Physiotherapist.
On some surveys available, the average salary for the Physiotherapist are greater than that of the Optometrist. So on an average the Physiotherapist earn more than the Optometrist. The BOPTM course refers to B.Sc Optometry course is an undergraduate paramedical course which has a duration of 4 years.
An optometrist is a doctor of optometry (O.D.), and not a medical doctor. One has to work through various vision therapies to treat abnormalities, and can prescribe drugs for the eyes.
