see optometrist works do not involve prescribe medicine., optometrist are responsible to check the eye power and certain symptoms about eye and report it to the eye specialized doctor, then doctor would examine the eye and prescribed medicine. however optometrist plays a vital role to determine the eye power and eye condition, optometrist may work in government and private hospitals, eye wear and contact lens show room. generally starting salary ranges from 20k -25k.

Both are different courses. Like bHMS is homeopathy eye doctor and bsc optometrist means the eye technician.
BSC optometry is three years graduation course but bHMS is 5 and half years course. If you are specialization in eye then also study two years after that you will be a proper doctor. So a doctor can check the patient and right to write the prescribed the medicine.
But and eye technician can't prescribed anything. They will just check the eye disability and power. That's the main work. This is huge difference between this two courses. I hope you can understand which is best.

M.sc optometrist course is master level course in B.sc optometrist, eligibility criteria for m.sc optometrist is candidates must complete b.sc optometrist from a recognized university. however if you want to become a optometrist , who are responsible to check the eye power, eye problems and assist doctors. however if you want to become a researcher or want to join as a lecturer in relevant field , then you may go for m.sc optometrist.
