Deepshikha Student Expert 21st Sep, 2019
Hey,
The primary book for Organic Chemistry is NCERT.
You must get equiped with the concepts of NCERT Organic Chemistry.
You can refer to other books that will give you in-depth explanation of the concepts of Organic Chemistry that you refer to while preparing for any competitive examination like Medical or Engineering entrance examinations such as:
"A Guide Book to Mechanism in Organic Chemistry" by Peter Skyes
"Organic Chemistry" by Clayden
"Organic Chemistry"by  David R Klein
Name Reactions by Jie Jack Li
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

What is the weightage of inorganic , physical and organic chemistry in chemistry portion in jee mains 2020 acc. to new pattern ?

Papiya Mazumder 17th Sep, 2019

Hello,

As per your requirement, i would say that the weitage of diiferent partz of chsmistry in jee is equal amount. The total marks is divided by 3 and the questions are distributed in equal pattern though tge weitage of organic chemistry remains a little more sometimes. Check the previous year papers to have an weitage idea.

write the structure of atleast 10 compounds which on reaction with CH3MgBr evolve CH4 gas

Pratyay Islam 9th Mar, 2020

Hello Student,

CH3MgBr fall in the category of grignard reagents(RMgX)

CH3MgBr on reaction with compounds having atleast once acidic hydrogen will evolve methane/CH4 gas.

1) CH3MgBr + R'OH --------> CH4 + R'O-Mg-Br

2) CH3MgBr + R'NH2  -------->    CH4 + R'NH-Mg-Br

3)  CH3MgBr + R'-CCH(Alkyne)   -------->  CH4 + R'-CC-Mg-X

4) CHMgBr + HOH --------> CH4 + OH-Mg-X

Replace the R' group with any alkane and you will easily get 10 or more compounds which evolve methane gas on reaction with CH3-Mg-BR. In Methane that is evolve CH3- comes from the grignard reagent which reacts with the acidic hydrogen to form methane.

Pls help me! I am in depression. I am worried about my studies. Tomorrow is my exam and due to stress Im forgetting all my studies. When I tell my parents about it, the ignore me. They regret that they have son like me. I do not have any support. Im feeling I should not live anymore. Pls help me.

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 6th Oct, 2019

Hello,

There is nothing to worry about. You have exam tommorow so you should study and prepare well so that you give your best in the exam. That is your original potential. You are nervous so you are forgetting but its fine. Do things repeatedly you won't forget. You have less time now so just try to cover important topics or those parts you feel easy to study and remember. It is okay if you score less but try to do atleast you score high than the passing marks.

It's fine for now. Next time just try to study daily and don't try remember, try to understand that this process is done in this way. Just like same how we do daily and how we learn. we also didn't knew how to walk when we were born but we fell down many time to learn walking properly. Those who fear to fall they don't learn how to walk easily and they need support.

No need of support if you have confidence in yourself. There are many big things left to do so don't think negative and learn everything as how we learn to walk.

It's okay to fall down. You are in the same stage of falling down and soon you will learn how to do things perfectly. Don't worry and just do your studies. Everything will be okay.

About the regret part, don't think about those. Just think that study is your life and studying is your duty. Books are your friends and your companinon. Leave the whole world and think about yourself. It's okay to be selfish sometime when other person forgets to care. and It's completely fine.

Hope it helps!

My exams are 1 week away. How can I prepare for it. Im in 11th Class PCM.

Nithesh 1st Oct, 2019
Haii shreyas!!! I'll tell you some tips for for 11th PCM follow If you like. Chemistry: This subject requires more concentration so keep practising everything and remember bit to bit. NCERT is enough iff you write and remember line to line. Physics : some of the main topics to cover is like thermodynamics, law of motion,gravitation,oscillations and waves.firstly do practice the important derivations. Remember the formulas to solve the problems.Better to write formulas in a notes to keep remember and for revision. Read conceptual questions by understanding the theory in it don't by heart it and then remember the main points in that question. While coming to maths:some the topics to cover is trignometry and yahh...R.D sharma is prescribed and ease to prepare in this Bionomical and Conic sections,p&c,trignometry(8,9,10,11of RD. Sharma) .Do practice the problems clearly in an order because the questions will be given in the advanced level. Do practice well for the exam.All the best Shreyas!! Give your best in your examinations. And in practicals also. Good luck!

Abhishek Roy Student Expert 16th Sep, 2019
Hey!There.
Right,you are BITSAT Aspirants..Since you are class 11,so you have enough time in BITSAT examination..BITSAT entrance examination pattern is entirely different from other engineering entrance EXAMINATION as it comprises of aptitude section, language section, Physics, chemistry and mathematics section.It demands accuracy with time to score 350+..So,go through each and every topic of subject.Rignt now focus only Physics, chemistry and mathematics.Solve problem as much you can,this will clear your understanding and concept..And before 3months of examination solve previous years papers it will helps you in getting idea about question pattern that being asked in examination and also that time you can look for aptitude and language section.
