You should go for Solomons for Organic Chemistry. It is based on the challenges faced by the students preparing for engineering entrance in terms of practice problems and clarity of theories. The relevance to exams is enhanced by elaborating concepts related to the syllabus, removing irrelevant topics and addition of specific problems at the end of each chapter. In each chapter there are plenty of practice and solved problems which come along with the theory part . In the end of the chapter there are review problems , additional objective questions which are mcq type and whose correct options are available at the end of the chapter. Complete solutions are displayed at the end of book. A concept map which is made at the end of the theory of every chapter is very helpful for revision. So , in short it's a great book for Organic Chemistry,  you should go for it.

It is generally advised to go through NCERT Books because most of the questions asked are from NCERT. If you complete NCERT Books then almost 85-90% questions will be asked from this book only so you will be having better chances of scoring.

But for complete detailed information and knowledge you can go through JD Lee organic chemistry.

No book is best for preparing for exam like JEE main, however a combination of two or three good books is more than enough. The first thing that I would suggest is to buy the coaching material of some good coaching like Resonance, Allen, etc. Their material is indeed very good and if you solve it then certainly you can get a good rank. However, if you want to follow a book also then I will recommend Solomons and fryhle.

Hello student student there's no fix time its totally vary student to student and on the way they study organic chemistry is very interested but also bit difficult to understand for some students so if you focus what your teacher taught in class and do a revision by yourself you'll help yourself to clear your concept.
If I talk about the syllabus of class 12 then atleast 3month is needed to complete the syllabus smoothly.

Make sure you complete the syllabus and revise the whole syllabus before the exam
