I am in 2nd year in MBBS I want to do orthopedics in pg and I want to study in Uk medical colleges for that how should I prepare?does it require to give neet pg then?
To pursue post graduation courses in medicine (MD/MS) from the UK, you have to give either of the two examinations mentioned below:
- Professional Linguistics Assessment Board (PLAB) is the eligibility test for international medical graduates which tests your skills and knowledge. It is conducted as a 2 part test by GMC. Part 1 consists of MCQs and part 2 will test your objective clinical knowledge.
- Membership of Royal College of Physicians (MCRP) is a post graduate diploma which takes place in a three part assessment.
You can also pursue MD either with or without PLAB in the top NHS Hospitals, but some sources say it does not include orthopedics. Requirements-
- MBBS from a recognized institute
- 2 years of post MBBS (including 1 year of internship)
- No unexplained gap in MBBS career
- Should not appear and fail to pass PLAB
- IELTS score 6
- You must be registered with MCI

Yes you can practise in chhatisgadh....for fcps there is no bond... You can even practise in malaysia..as the courses r recognised there....I have heard your name..you were the Gold medalist of your batch as far as I remember....best luck for your practise...
how many numbers do i have to bring in neet exam so that i can selected in orthopedics .if I am in obc category
Hey Aspirant
Here is not a huge difference between general category and obc, the thing is that there are 4 to 7 seat are kept in every government college for obc so chances of getting Admission in that is high for obc category , if you get 465 to 510 in neet you will get government medical college definitely.
ST/ SC/ OBC 400 minimum marks for government colleges.
For private colleges you have to score atleast 300 in neet , If you score more than 400 in neet then you can easily get private colleges in mumbai , Delhi and other cities.
Hope this will help you!
All the best!
