To become a forensic expert in India after doing Bachelors in Chemistry you will have to do Masters in Forensic Science.
The requirement for you to do MSc. In forensic science a candidate must hold a bachelors degree in any of the science subjects.
And about the specialization in pathology, toxicology , etc. you can opt for thee in your master's degree.

Forensic pathologists perform autopsies to determine what caused a person's death. They are also involved in the investigation of the circumstances surrounding the death.
After completion of medical graduation (MBBS), Candidates have to complete three years of study and training including thesis research, which leads to award of degree of MD (Forensic Medicine). One can also alternately pass the board examination conducted by National Board of Examinations, leading to awarding of Diplomate of National Board (DNB).

Hi aspirants
Yes you can do MD Pathology after completing B Sc MLT. The basic Eligibility is completion of the graduation with related subjects from recognized university.
But you can't do MSC microbiology after BSC MLT.

Pathology laboratory and pathology both are same.
Like pathology is the study about the study about disease and diagnosis by testing. It is the link between science and medicine. It underpins every aspect of patient care, from diagnostic testing and treatment advice to using technologies and preventing disease.
Pathology lab is where the disease diagnosis testing occur. Both are linked. So if you study in pathology then you can work in pathology laboratory.

No You can't run a pathology lab by your own. As per the order of supreme court judgement in 2018 it was clearly mentioned that one is eligible to open his /her own laboratory after MD path , DPB, DCB.
So you have to hire a destined signing authority and a plan to license your Pathology Lab as per the government rules.
