Dear aspirant,
Yes definitely you can open up your own lab after doing BMLT.
But you need to have all the license and and a serious budget for the same.Firstly analyse the budget as the cost is too high for the setup.
Good luck!
Hey
A very basic (small size-less than 100 patients per day) lab setup will need the following :
NABL 112 ( http://nabl-india.org/nabl/file_download.php?filename=201210170522-NABL-112-doc.pdf ) is a very helpful document that can guide those who are interested in improving the lab quality, even if they dont find it feasible to apply to Accreditation.
One should aim to provide high quality reports that can be depended upon for patient management.
After completing bsc MLT can I do md pathology
BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology or BSc MLT is an undergraduate program. Its duration is of 3 years. To be eligible for this course on must pass 10+2 with science subjects Physics ,Chemistry , Maths and Biology with aggregate of 50%.There are colleges which offer admission on basis of merit or entrance exams. The main focus of this course is to train students to deal with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through the utilization of clinical laboratory tests.
It has a good scope but less scope than the B.Sc Microbiology course. The Bachelors in Microbiology will be in the most demand because of its use in the research feild. Microbiologists have a great demand in pharmacy . agricultural research, dairy , food industry , Medical clinical industires . The world is developing daily and with it develops many other microorganisms that are both useful as well as harmful so here researchers & scientists help the common man to distinguish among them.
So scope wise
Microbiology>Medical Labratory technology>Pathology
