Petroleum Engineering is actually related to the innovation and exploration of the process of oil and gas extraction. It is advanced from Mining Engineering and Geology, and linked to Geo science.
In ahmedabad there are some job offerings in the field of lecturing, civil engineer(oil and gas), as a process engineer for pharmaceuticals and many more.
to get into any of the colleges in gujrat one has to take up certain entrance tests
such as JEE MAIN(NATA)
bitsat, VITEEE, UPES DAT
So apart from that field some of the best choices would be finance and law. You'll find that in these roles your petroleum engineering knowledge will still get a solid workout.

So first of all you have not told me about your category assuming you are of general category and as per last year cut offs it is very difficult to get a government or semi government bams college for 260 marks. But you might find yourself a suitable college and can use this link,

Hi.
If you have been allotted a seat in Round 1, then you have to pat the seat acceptance fee and report physically for document verification at the allocated center i.e. the institute that has been allotted to you, failing to do, will result in seat forfeit. Since the result for Round 1 was declared on October 17th and Round 2 results have been announced on 21st October. I can only hope that you have successfully accepted the seat between 17 and 21 October.
Hi Aspirant,
Petroleum Engineering in JNTU Kakinada is a good option. As it is a university, the infrastructure is always good. Classrooms of college are digitalized, and there are well-equipped laboratories for every department. It has a big library with many volumes for all the departments, and a separate hostel for boys and girls which is maintained well is present.
Placement is also very suitable in this college definitely in software organisations like Infosys, TCS, Accenture and Capgemini.
