I have completed my b-tech in biotechnology with specialization in genetic engineering and im interested in forensics .i was planning on doing my PG diploma in forensics after that Im confused whether i should opt for masters degree or PHD in forensics abroad.. what would u suggest?? and what are the benefits of studying phd..

Sakshi Badoni 6th Jan, 2025

Hello Greetings

Considering your background in biotechnology with a specialization in genetic engineering, a career in forensics can be a fascinating and rewarding path. Considering your plans for a PG diploma in forensics, you're now faced with a decision: pursue a master's degree or a PhD in forensics abroad.

*Master's Degree vs. PhD in Forensics*

A master's degree in forensics can provide advanced knowledge and skills in areas like DNA analysis, forensic chemistry, and crime scene investigation. This degree can lead to roles like forensic analyst, crime scene investigator, or forensic scientist.

On the other hand, a PhD in forensics is a research-based degree that can help you develop expertise in a specific area of forensics. This degree can lead to roles like forensic research scientist, university professor, or forensic consultant.

*Benefits of Studying PhD in Forensics*

Pursuing a PhD in forensics can offer several benefits, including:

- *Specialized knowledge*: A PhD program allows you to dive deeper into a specific area of forensics, making you an expert in that field.

- *Research opportunities*: A PhD program provides opportunities to conduct original research, contributing to the advancement of forensic science.

- *Career advancement*: A PhD can lead to senior roles in forensic science, academia, or research institutions.

- *Networking opportunities*: Pursuing a PhD provides opportunities to connect with renowned experts in the field, potentially leading to collaborations and career opportunities.

*Top Universities for Forensic Science Programs*

Some top universities for forensic science programs include:

- *National University of Singapore*: Offers a Master of Science in Forensic Science program.

- *University College London*: Offers a Master of Science in Crime and Forensic Science program.

- *King's College London*: Offers a Master of Science in Forensic Science program.

- *University of Amsterdam*: Offers a Master of Science in Forensic Science program.

These universities offer a range of programs in forensic science, including master's and PhD degrees. Research each program thoroughly to determine which one aligns best with your career goals and interests.

Ultimately, the decision between a master's degree and a PhD in forensics depends on your career aspirations, research interests, and personal goals. I recommend weighing the benefits of each option carefully and considering factors like program duration, cost, and potential career outcomes.

Have a great day

Hi, Ive completed my +2 in PCM and Im planning to appear for the NEET examination in 2025. Im considering taking Biology through NIOS. Will having two separate certificates (one for +2 PCM and another for Biology from NIOS) be acceptable? Or do I need to take all three subjects (PCB) through NIOS? The regular Biology exam in NIOS is scheduled for October 2025. Could you please guide me on how to proceed?

kumardurgesh1802 11th Dec, 2024

Hello there,

Yes, having two certificates is acceptable for NEET, provided they meet the eligibility criteria for PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). You can use your regular +2 PCM certificate along with the NIOS Biology certificate. Ensure both are valid and recognized.

Steps:

  1. Enroll in NIOS for Biology and appear for the October 2025 exam.
  2. Submit both certificates during NEET counseling.
  3. Achieve the required PCB aggregate (50% for General, 40% for reserved categories).

Focus on NEET preparation alongside NIOS Biology to meet all requirements.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Is it okay to do mba hr from private college? I know starting salary will be low but will it increase through experience skills? Or will it be always low ... P.s m planning to learn French and German too

Mitali Sharma 2nd Dec, 2024

Hello

It is okay to pursue an MBA in HR from a private college , especially if the program is well recognized and provides good placement opportunities . While the starting salary might be lower compared to top-tier institutions , it can increase significantly over time with experience , skills and performance .

Many professionals in HR see their salaries rise as they advance in their careers and take on more responsibilities . Acquiring additional language skills like French and German is also a great idea as it can enhance your employability , particularly in multinational companies or roles requiring communication with international teams .

Hello, I am an cbse improvement candidate and dont yet qualify the 75percent criteria for the upcoming jee mains, my query is in the mains qualifications form filling section should I just insert my class 12 marks (which are below 75%as of now planning to give the improvement exam to meet the criter

Deepti Singh 12th Nov, 2024

Hello,

If you are an improvement candidate for CBSE and your current Class 12 marks do not meet the 75% eligibility criteria for JEE Mains, you should enter your current marks in the application form. However, it’s essential to mention that you are an improvement candidate and are planning to appear for the improvement exams. Once you clear the improvement exams and meet the required 75% marks, you can fulfill the eligibility criteria for JEE Mains. The improvement exam results will be considered final for the eligibility requirement.

Additionally, ensure to keep the required documents ready, as JEE may require proof of your improvement exam marks once they are released. Always verify the latest updates on the JEE Mains eligibility criteria from official sources.

For more detailed information about JEE Mains eligibility and application, you can refer to Career360 JEE Mains page for the latest updates and guidelines.

My daughter is completing her 10th grade this year under CBSE curriculum, and we are now in the process of planning her next steps for intermediate studies. we are particular focused on selecting the best junior/intermidate college that will prepare her well for the TS EAMCET, Given this goal, Im trying to determine which curriculum CBSE or the State Board - would be more advantageous for her EAMCET prepration. Any insights on which syllabus align better with the TS EAMCET requirements would be greately appreciated.

Afreen 26th Oct, 2024

For EAMCET preparation, the State Board curriculum is generally considered more advantageous compared to the CBSE curriculum because it provides a more structured and challenging syllabus, better aligning with the competitive nature of entrance exams like EAMCET, it has extra topics which is useful in eamcet emphasizing conceptual understanding rather than rote learning, and offering wider recognition across different states and institutions.

If your daughter chooses state board it helps her in cracking tough exam like eamcet, CBSE curriculum is good for JEE, NEET GATE etc but this a state exam so the exam is state oriented.
