Hi my nta score is 90.1 in b.planning ..can I get seat in nit

Ankit 25th Feb, 2025

Your chances of getting a seat in an NIT for B.Planning with a 90.1 NTA score depend on factors like category, home state quota, and cutoff trends. Generally, NIT cutoffs for B.Planning vary yearly, and top NITs may require higher scores. If you belong to the general category, securing a seat in top NITs might be tough, but you may have a chance in lower-ranked NITs or through home state quota. Keep an eye on JoSAA counseling and cutoff trends for better clarity. You can also explore state-level colleges or private institutions offering B.Planning.

i got 89 percentile in b planning can i got seat

Mitali Sharma 25th Feb, 2025

Hello

Your chances of getting a seat in B. Planning depend on factors like:

1. Category & Reservation – Your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS etc.) plays a big role in cutoffs.

2. State Quota & Home State Preference – If you apply to a college in your home state , you may get a benefit under state quota.

3. Colleges You Are Targeting – Top NITs and SPAs (School of Planning and Architecture) have higher cutoffs , while lower-ranked colleges might have more relaxed criteria.

4. Previous Year Cutoffs – Comparing your percentile with past cutoffs can give a better idea of your chances.

If you belong to General (UR) category getting a seat in SPAs or top NITs may be difficult . However, you might get a seat in lower-ranked NITs, IIITs or state government/private colleges offering B.Planning.

Hope this gives you the clarity you need.

I took a DNB seat in 2022 neet pg counselling. I resigned my DNB course in 2023. Now, Im planning to write neet pg 2025. Can I attend the 2025 counselling or else will I get debarred from attending it. I heard that I cannot take DNB seat again. If it so, can I take MD/MS seat?

Prachi Kumari 19th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Resigning from a DNB course may impact your eligibility for future admissions. Key points to consider:

  • Debarment Period : Candidates who resign from a DNB seat are often debarred from participating in DNB counselling for the next three years.

  • MD/MS Eligibility : Generally, resigning from a DNB course does not affect eligibility for MD/MS courses. You should be able to participate in NEET PG 2025 counselling for MD/MS seats , provided you meet all other eligibility criteria.

  • State Counselling Participation : Eligibility to participate in state counselling processes may vary. Some states allow candidates who have resigned from DNB courses to participate, while others may have restrictions. It's essential to consult the specific state's counselling guidelines.

  • Financial Implications : Resigning from a DNB seat may involve financial penalties, such as forfeiture of fees or bond amounts. Review the terms of your admission letter or bond agreement to understand any financial obligations.

Hope you find it useful !

how much marks should be secured in jee b planning to get nit calicut college

Anuska Bakuly 17th Jan, 2025

In order to get admission to NIT Calicut College for a Bachelor of Planning program, it is required to know the previous year's JEE Mains cutoff ranks; they provide a benchmark for the score. However, the specific cutoff ranks of the B.Planning program are not available, but we can understand the competitive nature of the admission by understanding the cutoffs of other programs like B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture).

The previous year, the cutoff of B.Arch was:

opening rank: 68

closing rank: 271.

Please note that every year the cutoffs are decided based on the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall performance of the applicants.

Hello , I am a 12 th class student in Andhra Pradesh . I am planning to B tech in engineering this year . I am not sure if I can get good score in JEE mains . What can I do to do BTech ?

gitika yadav 12th Jan, 2025

Hi Shaik,

If you're unsure about securing a good score in JEE Mains but still wish to pursue a BTech, there are several alternative pathways you can explore:

1. State-Level Engineering Entrance Exams :

  • Andhra Pradesh conducts the AP EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) , which is a state-level exam for admission to engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Focus on preparing for AP EAMCET if you feel JEE Mains might not yield the desired result. State-level exams generally have a different difficulty level compared to JEE.

2. Private Universities :

  • Many private universities offer direct admission or conduct their own entrance exams for engineering programs. Some reputed ones include:
    • VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) through VITEEE.
    • SRM University through SRMJEEE.
    • Manipal Academy of Higher Education through MET.
  • These exams might be easier compared to JEE and provide excellent education opportunities.

3. Management Quota :

  • Private engineering colleges often have a management quota, where you can secure a seat without a competitive exam score. However, this may involve higher fees.

6. Consider other Entrance Exams :

  • Some colleges accept scores from tests like CUET (Common University Entrance Test) or COMEDK UGET (for Karnataka colleges), which might align with your preparation level.

Meanwhile, Register and prepare for AP EAMCET and any other university-specific exams that interest you. Explore to private  or deemed universities offering BTech programs. Research colleges within Andhra Pradesh that offer admission based on criteria other than JEE.

You can check out the given link for more details.

All the best!

I have completed my MBBS from Ukraine and want to pursue health informatics. I am not planning to give the FMGE as internships will take 2-3 years. Is it possible to get admission in health informatics programs in India without FMGE? What are the eligibility criteria and best options for me?

Sakshi Badoni 8th Jan, 2025

Hello Greetings

You can pursue health informatics in India without giving the FMGE. Since you've completed your MBBS from Ukraine, you'll need to check the eligibility criteria for health informatics programs in India.

*Eligibility Criteria:*

For postgraduate programs in health informatics, you typically need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as medicine, healthcare, or life sciences. Some programs might require a minimum percentage of marks, usually around 50-55% ¹.

*Best Options:*

Here are a few options to consider:

- *(link unavailable) in Health Informatics*: This program is offered by various universities, such as Galgotias University, Integral University, and Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

- *PG Diploma in Health Informatics*: This program is offered by institutions like the Institute of Good Manufacturing Practices India.

- *Certificate courses in Health Informatics*: These courses are available at various institutions, including the Indian Institute of Public Health.

*Admission Process:*

The admission process typically involves a merit-based selection or an entrance exam. Some popular entrance exams for health informatics programs include the GATE and CUET UG

Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and check the admission process for each program.

i accidentally applied for B tech ,Barch and b planning instead of b tech and b arch now the paper for b arch seperately is one pattern and for b arch and b planning is another pettrn now i should write planning part though i have not too what should i do

Sakshi Badoni 7th Jan, 2025

Hello Greetings

You've accidentally applied for B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning, but you only intended to apply for B.Tech and B.Arch.

Here are some options to consider:

1. *Contact the exam authorities*: Reach out to the exam conducting body (e.g., JEE, NATA, or the university's admission office) and explain your situation. They might be able to guide you on the next steps or provide a solution.

2. *Attempt the planning section*: Even if you're not interested in B.Planning, attempting the section might not harm your chances. You can try to answer the questions to the best of your abilities, but don't worry too much about it.

3. *Focus on your strong areas*: Concentrate on the sections that are relevant to your desired courses (B.Tech and B.Arch). Make sure you perform well in those areas, as they will be crucial for your admission.

4. *Be prepared for the consequences*: Unfortunately, you might not be able to avoid the planning section entirely. If you don't attempt it, you might lose marks or be disqualified. Be prepared for the possibility that your application might not be considered for B.Arch and B.Planning.

To avoid similar mistakes in the future:

1. *Double-check your applications*: Before submitting any application, ensure you've selected the correct courses and options.

2. *Read instructions carefully*: Pay attention to the instructions provided by the exam conducting body or the university.

3. *Seek help if needed*: If you're unsure about any aspect of the application process, don't hesitate to ask for help from a teacher, counselor, or the exam authorities.

Have a great day
