Private Medical College
Hello Aspirant,
See it is little bit difficult to predict exactly in which private college you will get seat or not because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also, cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
But if we go through previous years NEET cut-off trends in Maharashtra then there are some chances for you to get seat in some of the private medical colleges, the reason being is last year the lowest cut-off marks was 433 for Vedantaa Institute of Medical Science Vedantaa Hospital and Research Center, Palghar under Home State quota for General category. Now if we talk about other states so you can try for some other states colleges also. States like Tamil Nadu, Kerala and some other states having comparatively lower cut-offs so you can try in these states.
You can check the previous years cut-offs of Maharashtr through the link given below :-

If you hold the domiicle of Jammu and Kashmir, you may have to try in ASCOMS. But if you want to study in Private Medical Colleges of other States, you should appear for the Counselling for Management Quota of these States. For example, HP, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Telangana allow Candidates of other States to participate in the Counselling for Management Quota. But because you are not allowed to take part in the Government Quota seats, the fees will be more than 25 lakhs. . Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling. For seats in Private Medical Colleges, you have to participate in State Counselling. Having said that, there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. With a score of 215, it is difficult for a seat under this Category. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and even here 215 has almost no chance because you belong to General Category. And the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs and this is where you might have a shot at. States like HP, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, etc allow other State Candidates to participate in their Management Quota Seats Counselling. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.
