what is production engineering
Hello student,
Hope you are in good health , so the answer to your question is as follows:-
A subset or specialty of Mechanical Engineering is Production Engineering. Manufacturing Engineering is a branch of mechanical engineering that focuses only on machine tools, materials science, tribology, and quality control. Professional manufacturing engineers are in charge of every element of a production system's design, development, implementation, operation, and management. Manufacturing is the most essential aspect of any engineering process, and Manufacturing Engineers play a vital role in many companies. Aeroplanes, turbines, engines, and pumps are among the manufactured items, as are integrated circuits and robotic equipment.
ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

MY GMR - 7704 & OBC-B RANK - 507 & AM WEST BENGAL DOMICILED . WHICH BRANCH SHOULD I GIVE IN COUNSELLING FOR JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY ? CAN I GO FOR ELECTRONICS & INSTRUMENTATION OR PRODUCTION ENGINEERING ETC ? PLEASE HELP ME IN IT
Hi
In wbjee all the seats are alloted on the basis of GMR rank and not your category rank.
This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like
--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam
--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination
--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam
--------) number of students from different categories
--------) seats available for different branches etc
But yes,
With your 7704 GMR rank , considering you from OBC-B category,
On the basis of analysis of past years wbjee cut off data , you have low chances in Jadavpur University on branches asked by you or in any other branch
For example,
In 2020 , in 3rd round of wbjee, 6057 GMR rank for obc-B category was the closing/last rank for Jadavpur University and it was for Printing Engineering/Printing Technology
You have chances in colleges like :-
-
Goverment College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata:-IT :-8846
-
Govt. College of Engineering & Textile Technology, Serampore:- IT
-
Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, Cooch Behar:- Computer science
And a few more
As per per round 3 , 2020 wbjee cut off available at Official website :-

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our WBJEE college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to, your , your gender etc the link for WBJEE college predictor is provided below

Thankyou
Ive had completed my btech in production engineering. Im interested in law. can i get admission ?
Yes you can do law after your graduation. But you will not get admission in National Law Universty (NLU).
To get admission you will first have to appear in the CLAT exam and then apply for counselling. Since you have done your undergraduation so you have will get admission in 3 year LLB program. This program is not offered by any of the NLU's. Along with CLAT exam you can also give other entrance exams like DU LLB, MH CET, SLAT, PU LLB, BHU LLB, BVP LLB, LSAT, etc.
Hope this helps

if i got admission in Vishwakarma institute pune for production engineering at low cet score ....then wht should i do ? should i get it ??
Hello
Vishwakarma institute pune is a good institute but Production Engineering branch is not such a developed branch in India as of now. The placements of this department is the lowest among all the BTech programmes, The placement percentage is around 10 to 15%. The highest package is around 7 lpa (if you have a very good cgp and you have extra skills from courses online along with internships etc). If you think you can be that one person who can manage to get the placement and that you will work hard and focus only on that one opportunity then you can go ahead with it. If possible then you can also take a drop and prepare well to get a better subject in a better institute. That being said, even if you do not get placed you can manage to get a job in the govt sector or in banking etc through competitve examinations.
muje production engineering k liye vit clg mil rha hai toh muje lena chahiye kya ... if i get production engineering will it work for me ??
Hey!
VIT vellore is considered as one of the top engineering colleges in India , also the facilities are appreciable here. All the faculty members are masters in their subjects. VIT is popular due to its placement records, especially for CSE and electronics/electrical engineering. But for production engineering the placement records are not that much good.
But if you want to take VIT only, then I advise you to choose it only if you are capable of changing your stream in second semester. Yes, you can migrate to any other stream in second year if you perform good in first year. Otherwise, it will become difficult for you to grab a good placement opportunity here.
Hope I answered your query, thankyou!
nit nagaland ece engineering is a good choice or bit mesra chemical or production engineering... ?? what should i choice. based on gov jobs n also placement.
hi,
see if you look for future scope, fees, placement, internship opportunity and also for government job scope nit nagaland would be best join. nits curriculum is best among the top tier 1 institute in India, also electronics and communication engineering has wide vacancy in both government sector as well as private sector. on the contrary chemical or production engineering stream has less vacancy in government sector. so the above point of view I would suggest to chose Nit nagaland.
i got nit agartala production engineering??? But i am eligible to get core branch in gfti...n iiits. What should i do ... As i put the nit agartala choice firstly then gfits and iiits.. ?? and got seat in first round of csab 2020
Greetings,
It is a suggestion but go for the branch of your choice rather than the reputation or tag of a college. Graduating from NIT with a relatively unpopular branch only works in a student's favor when he/she has decided a career path beforehand that does not require an engineering degree (MBA, Civil Services, etc.) but if you wish to enter the world of employment or go for higher studies then it's best to study and put 4 years worth of efforts into a field you really are interested in because that is what will bear the best results in the long run.
As for your counselling choice, you can choose to float and wait for the next list, chances are you will get some other branch in some NIT or you will get a better college altogether.
Best of luck, good day!
