Professor
Yeah! You can definitely for the Assistant Professorship, if you have done MA in Psychology by qualifying the required examination in your state through which recruitment of professors are done.
Now in general, now-a-days, having a PhD degree/NET qualified in the subject, is a requirement asked by many institutes. So if you can qualify the NET or if you are interested to go for research, then after the completion of PhD go for it, and it will be a better choice, in terms of promotions and getting selected.

Hi there,
In my opinion post graduation in central university is always better than post graduation in private colleges not based on study , equity or anything. It is just that the certificate value of central university is better than private colleges. But even if you did your Post graduation in private colleges if your talented you can become professor with your skills.
Regards,
Sahithi akavaram.

Hi,
The subjects to be taken in class 11th highly depends on what you want to pursue in future, and what is your school providing as options, as different schools have different offering subjects.
There is entrepreneurship, history, geography, music, economics, and many, many other subjects. You should go for subjects like History, social sciences, economics, languages etc.
The stream you need to take must be directly connected with the subject you want be professor in. Talking about degrees and formal specifications, you need to have BA and MA in the subject. For further specifications you may need to have PHD too.
Other than that you must clear exams like NET(national eligibility test)and SLET(state level eligibility test). Clearing these will allow you to apply for a job in government or government associated institutions. However to get a job in government college you need to clear another exam that is UPSC which held every time a vacancy is created .
Most of these exams require advanced knowledge of your field along with knowledge of mental ability, GK and a language.
To become a government teacher, first of all you must get good percentage in your 10th, 12th and UG or PG as well as B.ed., Because if you want to become a government teacher, you have to write (Tet exam- Teacher Eligibility Test.) Or TRB. Tet exam for UG bachelors and TRB for PG bachelors. UG bachelors must need weightage. Weightage is based upon the 10th, 12 th and UG percentage. But TRB exam marks doesn't need weightage. Government teacher= (UG) Tet mark+ weightage. PG bachelor needs only the TRB mark percentage. B.ed is must to write Tet or TRB. To become a government teacher is a big task.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
