hi mam i am bsc Radiology 2 nd yr students which code can i apply from neet application 2021 pls explain

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th Jul, 2021

Hi

You need to choose the code 02.

This is because,

Though you are doing BSC radiology your highest qualification with all the three subjects i. e physics chemistry and Biology remains 10 + 2.

In case, if you have done PUC in place of 10 + 2 then you need to choose code 3. For example, Karnataka Board offers puc i. e Pre University course in place of 10 + 2

While, those who are doing Bsc and have all the three subject i. e physics chemistry and Biology needs to select code 5 and those who have completed BSc with at least any two of physics chemistry and Biology in their bsc need to select code 6.

Can a partially colourblind take radiology after the MBBS? If not then which field can he take after MBBS and which cant..??

shikha jindal 21st Jul, 2021

Yes. After MBBS you can opt radiology,As most modalities are rendered in gray-scale,therefore there is very little applications of color.Despite Doppler ultrasound has some color, the color intrinsically is not critical, especially when one is using power doppler or spectral Doppler. In respect to nuclear medicine most of the time the colors are irrelevant. This is because diagnostically radiologists do not use the color fused series when reporting PETCT  or similar. The false color image are for the clinicals to get a sense of what is going on. Most PET reporting is done with the co-registerd functional and anatomic components side by side not overlaid and therefore color is not needed. Also the colourblind will not affect your judgement and your diagnosis power which is most important for medicine.

Along with this you can go for pediatric, geriatrics, pulmonary medicine,ENT,dermatology,Psychiatry,Pre clinical subjects(anatomy, biochemistry, physiology),Pharmacology,Community medicine,OB-Gyn(MD).
