PhD in biology is a minimum three years long doctoral degree. To do research in biology clearing  NEET  exam is not compulsory but  to clear CSIR NET. then  you will have  the opportunity to select for doing PHD easily. After Phd  candidate can do research work in biology. To do research work in biology candidate is to complete MSc biology with   one of the specialised subject and do PhD with the same specialised subject. Specialised subject in biology research are biotechnology , botany, virology, mycology, microbiology, ecology, para cytology, genetics reader. Youe any one of the specialised subject for his research work in biology.

So if you are in your mbbs or bds you just simply can clear that first then go for or MSc and after that you can go for PHD.
