Hello!
SUIIT Burla is a constituent institution of Sambalpur University and is a state government institute. You can expect comparatively better academics in this college than any other private institution in Odisha.
The placements are average at SUIIT, Burla but the statistics of placements are improving. Highest package in previous years has went up to Rs. 6 -11 LPA and median salary was around Rs. 2.8-3 LPA for CSE department. The placements in CSE department is max. i.e about 80%.
The degree you will earn in SUIIT Burla for sure holds a value in other institutions. And is worth the cost. Being a state government institute, it provides you right industrial exposure. Every year, there is good competition among Odia students to get into this college. You definitely must not worry after you get into this college.
Hope you are clear!

Hello student,
As for my research I couldn't find the cutoff marks for BSc in both the colleges Berhampur University and Sambalpur University. But here I'm providing you with the links having the other details like fee structure for the course of both colleges.
Link for Berhampur University: https://dqxeclau.top/university/berhampur-university-berhampur
Link for Sambalpur University: https://dqxeclau.top/university/sambalpur-university-sambalpur
Dear Aspirants ,
They offering placements facilities for Btech CSE but as per the previous record of Campus placements then it is average because much more companies are not visited only 20-25 companies are visited and they are offered minimum 3-6 LPA average package .
Thanks
hello,
According to you i totally agree with you. KIIT Bhubaneshwar is a costly college with the average package of around 3-4.5 LPA. It almost costs 22 to 25 lakhs for B.Tech courses. And if you see SUIIT its one of the IIITs ofcourse you will get higher package than kiit if you work hard. If you see how much you input the money and how much you get back as output in every aspacts SUIIT choice is far better than KIIT
all the best
Hi,
Consider these points while deciding:
- The amount of fees you are paying Vs. the amount of value that degree holds
- College reputation
- Opportunities available to you at both places
- Academics and Faculty
if KIIT is offering a higher median salary then it is also charging a higher tuition fee. Being a private college KIIT can afford to arrange better facilities for your money and also arrange better placement seasons for its graduates.
If you go solely by reputation then a government college might be good but usually, any government college which is not an IIT or NIT is not that revered outside and the only benefit you get is affordable fees and a sense of self satisfaction. Think of your fees as an investment and decide whether going for a college which offers better facilities takes priority in your mind over a state college which is affordable but not much else.
best of luck
