The basic eligibility for that is to have a master's degree from any of the university recognized by UGC and can be equivalent qualification thereto in sociology. And a minimum of 55% marks needed to qualify any central or university level examination. You have different national level examinations such as GATE / SLET/UGC NET / UGC CSIR NET or any other University entrance exam for the providing admissions for Ph.D. in Sociology.
