my aim is to become software engineer please tell me the right direction

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 25th Apr, 2020
Anshu, Software Engineer is a designation. You might be doing the same kind of job but with a different designation. Different companies have different designations for their Employees. In some Companies, Systems Analyst is the sesignation given for the role of a Software Engineer. Having said that, you should start your career from 12th by taking Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your core subjects. You should appear for Engineering entrance examinations like JEE, VITEEE and other Entrance examinayions depending on the Institution you want to join. Now there are 2 ways to it in B.Tech. You either take CSE as a branch and complete your course or take any other branch and pursue some Software courses that are in demand in the market. Post the completion of the course you can get placed both through On Campus and Off Campus placements.

salary of software engineer. After completing studies

Sudarshan kumar 12th Mar, 2020

Hi Pritam,

The salary you will get depends upon the college from where you are studying and also upon you as the college only calls the company for placement but then whether you grab the package or not depends upon you.

If you complete your study from any NIT or IIT then their average package is around 7 lpa. If you completes study from top private university then also you will get the same package. But if you do study from any private university then you will end up getting package from 3.5-6.5 lpa.

Hope this will help, please feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

Thank You.

Dear aspirant,

Computer science and mathematics are quite related fields and the data size which is the new emerging field of the computer science is mostly rely on the fundamentals of statistics and calculus which are very important concepts in the field of mathematics. so if you want to change your career to mathematics teacher you could also so very well convert to the field of data science which is related to both mathematics and software engineering if that fulfill you.

You can utilise your mathematics skill there and it is also a very demanding and highly payable sector of the computer science as of now. But if you are interested on changing the career to mathematics then you can become mathematics teacher to however if you want to Jain inter college or degree level then you might have need PHD degree. And for school level you might need a masters degree.
