Anybody become software engineer after 10th pass?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 1st Nov, 2019

Dear Samanta, if anyone says he/she became a software engineer right after 10th, he/she is lying. There is a academic procedure to be followed to become a Software Engineer. And against the popular note, Software Engineer is a designation. It varies from Organisation to Organisation. In few Organisations you might be called a Coder/Programmer/Developer. Now to get to that path, you need to study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in your 10+2 and appear for JEE Mains which is the major entrance examination for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses across India. After studying B.Tech preferably in Computer Sciences and doing certain software courses, you will be eligible to appear for interviews for the position of Software Engineer.

First of all to become a software engineering, you need to pass your class 12 th with Science stream with Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subjects. After that , you can give entrance exams like JEE , WBJEE, VITEEE etc and if you clear any of these exams with good score /rank then you will get a seat in engineering colleges and then you can opt for computer science branch to become a software engineer. Even , if you are not able to clear entrance exams , even then you can go for computer science engineering as many private engineering colleges provide direct admission on the basis of your performance in class 12th , so you should try to get good % in class 12th like 85+% as well. I am a 12th std student next year I want studying software engineering but dont about that so please help me 1.how many type in software engineer 2.which is best 3.i am state board student so how much mark is cutoff for this course 4.which is the best collage in tamil Nadu and india

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 12th Nov, 2019

hi,

see there is many type of software professional jobs is available. if you want to study engineering you can take computer science engineering or information technology stream to get admission in btech. between cse and IT I would suggest to go for computer enginneering for future scope in research oriented field.

now you need to crack engineering entrance exam for admission in btech in top institute. all india level common engineering entrance exam is jee mains. also you need to crack jee advance exam if you want to take admission in iits.

now coming to the eligibility criteria, if you want to take admission in nits or iits you need to have 75% marks in 10+2 in pcm in aggregate. 75% criteria is for general and obc , for sc, st candidates it is 65%. so if you are from general category getting above 75% in 10+2 satisfies all criteria for most of the colleges. however most of the government colleges has criteria for 50% marks in 10+2.

in tamil nadu  there is tnea counseling happens for engineering admission, where 500+ engineering colleges participates. counselling is done on the basis of 10+2 score.

I started my engineering in 2012. I didnt clear the backlog so as per AICTE rule, now i am not eligible for technical education. I want to pursue coding as my future career. I need a degree to get permanent job in any company. Can anyone point me in right direction? Foreign college distance course?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 21st Sep, 2019

Hello,

With out your degree you can't move forward. Now you have a big gap to start again. Even you start you won't be eligible as they ask 2-3 years as gap after intermediate. So better you go and talk to the institute's concerned faculties how to get the degree. To pursue your future in coding then you have to solve coding challenges which are available in different platforms like geeksfor geeks, hackerearth, hackerrank.

There are even hiring challenges release by companies in above mentioned platforms where if you can crack the code in more optimised way and in short period of time and attempts then you will easily get a job.

solve them and find oppurtunities in top companies as they release challenges in every 2-3 months.

Hope it helps!
