I am learning to qualify NEET, AIIMS,JIPMER what is the strategy

abhishek vig 11th Jul, 2018
Hi dear,.
If you want to qualify any above-mentioned exam ie. NEET, AIIMS, JIPMER the strategy is very simple. You have to be more focussed and should have proper conceptual knowledge. Go for deep studies rather than referring notes. Make self notes by studying from book first and then writing them properly. Then revise them thoroughly. Refer syllabus first of these entrance exams and mark the topics from the book and study accordingly. You can refer youtube channels for help.Give at least 9-10 hrs to study. 2 hrs to refresh yourself. Play any sport side by side. Wake up early and do some activity like jogging, running, cycling etc. Then study.

How many yrs does it take to be a surgeon?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 6th Jul, 2018

Hey Maya.

To become a surgeon, in India you would require a minimum of 11.5 years.

First you will have to complete your MBBS degree which will take you 5.5 years (including compulsory internship period) Then you will pursue an MS degree which will take you 3 years. After that, if you want to do further specialisation like Neurosurgery, cardio surgery etc you will pursue an MCH degree which will take you 3 years.

You can also pursue MCH directly after MBBS in Institutes which provide an MCH degree directly after MBBS. It is a 6 year degree. Pursuing MCH is optional. You can do it only if you want to specialise in some particular field. But this will increase your Career prospects, salaries, value to a great extent.

This does not include the years or time you might take for preparing for MBBS/ MS/MCH entrances. It varies from person to person.

Best of luck!
