does a surgeon charge a fee like 1 lakh,2 lakh for a procedure or does he accept a salary? in big hospitals like fortis escorts, do surgeons get salary or fee for each surgery. cna they choose the tthe fee that they recieve?

ayanmukherjee045 21st Feb, 2022

Hello ishaan,

There must be some fixed salary in the big hospitals like Fortis , Apollo, leelavati, for every surgeon working. But the structure of the salary of these surgeons depends from person to person depending upon the experience. In some hospitals there must be some extra money provided to the doctors as per the number of surgeries.

what does an average roster look like of a surgeon who has completed Ms in general surgery

Ayush Maurya 15th Feb, 2022

Hello there

Generally the roster for every surgeon is same as they experience the same types of situations in their daily life and maybe it can vary according to their perception.

Typically talking about the schedule for a younger surgeon is never set on a stone and everyday is very unpredictable. The whole day have a full clinic session or a surgical session and also they have to attend academic sessions.

The average General Surgeon works 50 to 60 hours per week. Depending upon the practice situation they can be called as much of time (if they are in a private solo practice) to once a week (if doing practice in large group). Also there may be surgeons who have specific days in which they perform the surgery which is scheduled earlier and the rest of the time they spent it on researching various things and by providing emergency care to the patients.

I hope it helps you!

Thank you!

which graduation is best for ias for pcm stream students

Nisha 6th Feb, 2022
hey there

Hope you are doing great

It's depend on your interest mainly. It is not like that for UPSC you require a particular course, a recognized Degree from a recognized college is sufficient. You can join any degree which you want to join engineering, medical, arts, commerce It doesnt matter, but that course should be degree.

If you want to continue with science stream you can go for B.sc or B.tech but as there are many subjects so you have to give so much of time in college study and activities

And If you choose arts or alike then you can get ample of time preparation and also somewhat similar subjects in curriculum as in UPSC syllabus.

Hope this helps you

Shreya Bhowmick 4th Feb, 2022

A general surgeon is the person whi specialises in surgery. On call duty of a person who completed general surgery means he or she has to be available at any time during their shift. An average general surgeon has to work 50 to 60 hours in a week, after his training. This is not included in the time available for call. If the surgeon is in a private solo practice, he or she can be on call as much as all the time. If the surgeon is in a large group practice, he or she can be on call once in a week.
