Tamil Nadu
OBC Category has 27% reservation in NEET across India. The same rule also applies to Tamilnadu NEET Counselling. It is not that specific Colleges would have OBC seats and other would not. The seats are distributed across Colleges. For example, if a Medical College has 100 seat intake, 27 seats are allotted to OBCs and this is the same across all Government and Private Medical Colleges. For a seat under OBC Category, you will need atleast 500-550. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. To help you with your NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages that you can check at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/. You haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, in 2019, the cut offs for SSN College of Engineering for CSE across various Categories have been as follows:
SC Arunthiyars: 31629
SC: 15397
ST: 20096
General Category: 729
OBC: 1566
BC-Muslims: 3605
MBC: 4002
EWS: 729
Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Marks secured by Candidates in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be reduced to the base of 200 to prepare the rank lost. You can check the complete information in our article: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/tnea-rank-list . But if you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 85%-90% in your Boards and if you belong to Reserved Categories, you need atleast 75%.
Hello,
With the given percentile if we calculate your overall expected rank with the formula (100-your total percentile)*869010/100 it will be around 69520.Where 869010 is the total number of candidates appeared in January session.Your rank based on category is expected to be in between 15000-16000.You did not mention whether you come under to NCL or CL.If you come under CL then you are considered as general category. In 2019 the cut off was as follows branch wise in NIT, Trichy for home state OBC-NCL and general category respectively
Considering this you may not get seat in this NIT.You need to score 98 or above percentile to have decent chances of getting seat.To get such percentile you need to score 220 or above marks. The cut off for admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs is given in terms for rank, the percentile is converted into rank. Cut off is dependent on number of candidates appeared, highest score, number of seats available etc.It may increase or decrease.

Under the JEE, in the OBC category you need an average of 74% or higher to join NIT Trichy. Also you need to score 130+ out of 300 to secure a reasonable chance. This is based on previous data.
If you get into NIT Trichy, then what we suggest is you learn from your seniors quickly on time allocation for each semester - subject wise, how to understand the credits for each subject and based on that – how to prepare for your exams. Since it is subjective evaluation, your notion of examinations will be different in such colleges and so one needs to understand how this system works. This will be an ideal way rather than planning ahead before knowing the ground rules in each institution.
All the best!
Sherieff, to study an Arts course, you can study Arts course based upon your 10th qualificaion but not on the basis of your Diploma certificate. This still will be considered a Diploma or a Certification course in Arts. Technically Engineering Diplomas or equivalents are not eligible for Courses in Arts. So if you want to take up Arts courses, you can do that on the basis of your SSLC.
