Hello Aspirant,
Congratulations on your result. Prediction of college depends on a lot of factors and so, it is not necessary that the prediction will be 100% true. It will just give you a rough idea about the colleges that you can expect.
At a rank of 990 in the ST category, you cannot get NIT Trichy. As you might be aware of the fact that Computer Science is one of the most demanded branches nowadays and so is NIT Trichy. This college is a dream college for most of the JEE Main aspirants. Also, this NIT ranks 1st in the list of NITs. For getting into this college from another state in the ST category your rank should be less than or equal to 55 (tentatively). However, you have many other options at this rank.

If you compromise your branch then you can get into the top NITs/ IITs.

Dear Student,
A SC student may rank between 20000 and 25000 if they receive above 65% in Intermediate and between 80 and 90 in Telangana or AP's EAMCET. A student should be able to obtain a free seat in any topic at top private colleges as well as all government colleges with this. A better college will be possible with a higher score.
Your rank is 6605 which is a good one to give you a seat of Bsc agriculture. However as the cut off varies every year I would suggest you to predict your college using your rank in the given below link -

With the above mentioned OBC category rank in JEE mains, and based on the previous year JEE mains cutoff trends, you may not get any good and top NIT for CSE or ECE Branch, even with the home state quota, as the Required OBC rank is within 1k-2k in JEE mains. But you can get some other lower branches like Biotechnology, Metalurgical and materials, Mining, Civil, mechanical, etc in some of the top NIT's like NIT Warangal, NIT trichy, NIT Surathkal, etc,. So, you see, you have to sacrifice your preferred branches for top and high ranked NIT's of India. On the same case, you can get CSE or ECE branch in many of the lower NIt's but there placement are not so good.

hello Sir,
With the above mentioned rank in general category and SC Category rank in JEE mains, and based on the previous year JEE mains Cutoff for Top NIT's, your son has very lesser chances of getting CSE branch in good and top-ranked NIT's in India. This is because the required minimum cutoff rank for CSE branch in top NIT's like MNNIT Allahabad, NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT warangal, etc is within 1k-2k for SC category and your son's rank is much higher than that. But do not worry as your son has much better chances of getting Some decent branches and non-technical branches like Mechanical, Civil, mining, Biotechnology, etc in top and good NIT's.
Secondly, your son has some good chances of getting CSE, ECE, EEE, etc branch in Lower NIT's in SC category.
