CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING A OFFER FROM UPES FOR BTECH CSE. I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT THE UNIVERSITY HAS A GOOD CAMPUS AND A VERY GOOD FACULTY, BUT THE TUTION FEES AND MESS CHARGES ARE AROUND 20 LAKHS FOR 4 YEARS WHICH IS QUITE COSTLY WHEN YOU COMPARE IT WITH OTHER PRIVATE ENGINEERING COLLEGES . PLUS YOU WILL GET GOOD PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE UNIVERSITY AS 94% STUDENTS GOT PLACED LAST YEAR, BUT JOB OFFERS ARENT SO GOOD WHEN YOU COMPARE IT WITH VIT OT BITS. THE AVERAGE CTC IS 6 LAKH PER ANNUM, WHICH IS NOT WORTH PAYING 20  LAKH TO A UNIVERSITY. I WOULD PREFER YOU TAKE ADMISSION IN PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES LIKE VIT OR BITS WHICH ARE WORTH THE AMOUNT YOU PAY THEM FOR YOUR EDUCATION. IF YOU ASK ME, UPES IS A BAD UNIVERSITY FOR STUDYING CSE. PLEASE TAKE A WISE DECISION.

There are three ways of scholarship you can get from UPES for BTech CSE.

• The first one is Girl Child Scholarship. In this scheme, all female candidates taking admission in any course are provided 20% scholarship on the tuition fee for the 1st year.
• Scholarship will be offered to students securing an aggregate of 80% marks in class X and XII and 80% marks in PCM for Tech (All Streams) in Computer Science and Engineering. Such scholarships will be limited to 10% of seats in each B.Tech Program. Scholarships will be allotted for the first Semester in Merit order to eligible candidates. The scholarship amount is 50% of the total tuition fee of 1st year. From the second year the scholarship will depend on the performance in semesters (SGPA>8.0)
• Also scholarship are provided for Uttarakhand state board toppers and JEE MAIN toppers which you can see by visiting the link below:

VIT Bhopal and UPES Dehradun both are very prestigious institutions and specially for use both institutions offer a great a curriculum and very interactive study environment.

Personally my verdict goes for VIT Bhopal, you should look at the fees structure, distance from your home town, placements.

Hello student yes you're eligible to apply for B.tech in UPES as eligibility criteria says - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 in physics chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50 percent marks from a recognized board.

Admission is based on either class 12 marks or marks obtained in jee main.

SRM IS A BETTER UNIVERSITY WHEN YOU COMPARE IT WITH UPES, IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO UPES AND HAS BETTER PLACEMENTS THAN UPES.

As per your query,I would like to inform you that Upes dehrdun will be a better option than chandigarh university due to its high nirf ranking,better placements,speclization in machine learning(which will benefit you if you are thinking for placements) and better qualtiy teaching . Try to make command on machine learning because they are various number opportuinites in this field you will easily high profile job if you have decent projects in your resume . Moroever, the average package of upes for bca students goes around 4.5lakhs

My first recommendation would be Petroleum Engineering since it is the core branch of UPES and hence all the facilities and all things are to be provided by the institute in an excellent manner to petroleum students than to any other branch. My second recommendation would be Computer Science with specialization in Cyber Security since there is a lot of future scopes in computer science. Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you UPES dehradoon was established in 2003. UPES is one of the  premier college of India by offering different branches like Energy, Infrastructure, Transportation, Information Technology, Design, Planning & Architecture, Public Policy and Legal studies. As per the records placements records are very good as per the data average package is around 4-5 lakhs.
