UPSC exam
Hi Aspirant,
I assume you are talking about whether the preparations books of UPSC changes every year. Well to answer that I would say that they make slight changes just in printing as per the newer printings of those textbooks. But the syllabus remains same. The UPSC Syllabus may not be changed. More number of Students are preparing for the UPSC Prelims & Mains according to old UPSC Syllabus. If UPSC wants to change the Syllabus , whether it may be in Prelims or Mains, UPSC Should give a Notification according to new changes.
General Knowledge and General Studies information obviously changes everyday. For this, we don’t have a particular syllabus.
Also following are the books to refer for international relations
1)NCERT 12th (Contemporary World Politics)
2)International relations - interests & challenges for Civil Services Exams by deepanshu Singh
Also you can refer to current Affairs through newspapers or digital media.

Hello,
UPSC is oldest public service examination. If you want to be a government officer like IPS, IAS, IFS, IRS you have to clear UPSC examination.
Now you want to know BSC honours is helpful or not. Look any subject is helpful for this examination. Because it's multiple subjects base examination. You have to mathematics, english, history, political science, sociology, general knowledge, current affairs etc. If you complete your graduation without BSC like MBBS or BTech or Bpharm then also you are eligible for UPSC. Because you have to study another way for this examination.
All the best.
Hello aspirant !

Choosing arts subjects to attend UPSC exam in future is a great idea.
And YES you can choose arts subjects in class 11 th.

Hope it helps you.
Good luck.
Dear Aspirant,
UPSC provides a list of optional subjects. Candidates have to choose one optional for the mains exam. The optional subject has two papers and each paper accounts for 250 marks. The paper for optional subject is descriptive in nature.
There is vast range of subjects you can choose from as your optional subject such as, Agriculture to Zoology to Geography to regional languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Marathi etc.
Candidates must be very cautious while choosing their optional subject, as it can make or break your ultimate score. While choosing make sure you have a good knowledge in the subject. Look at the syllabus for all the subjects, see which ones you can manage to study and retain and make a choice based on it. If you find a particular subject easier than the other prefer that.
Hi,

In UPSC Syllabus, the subjects are mainly humanities oriented. So, you can assist your preparation for UPSC by taking up the Humanities field, preferably BA(General). You can choose subjects such as Political Science, Geography, History ,Economics as offered under the course. These are one of the core subjects in UPSC CSE exam. At last, you should pursue your graduation by seeing your area of interest. As you have asked, this study pattern of pursuing diploma then graduation will never hamper your career as such.
