Hi, since you want to know that whether rural area candidates also posses some kind of reservation in this exam or not. So on behalf of this let me tell you that there is nothing like rural area weightage in this exam, yes you can get EWS category or caste category rank benefits but these categories also work only if you have all necessary documents like caste certificate or EWS certificate or you family income certification.

The basic requirement for claiming scholarship is that your parent's income should be less than 4 lacs per annum. If this point is fulfilled, yes you may apply for scholarship and even have a chance of getting it.

If you don't have your OBC certificate then you can go for counseling only general category. But then only consider your general category rank.

so ,yes you can definently participate in counselling but it will be tough to get into top colleges because you will have only 10% registration and you have score a higher percentage to be placed in top colleges.

Hope you are doing well. For counselling process, the documents needed are:
Certificate of high school
Qualifying exam mark sheet
Medical fitness certificate
Character certificate which should be issued by the head of the institution last attended
Category certificate (if applicable)
Domicile certificate (if applicable)
Income certificate (applicable for economically weaker only)
Subcategory certificate (Freedom fighters/Physically handicapped/Armed forces)
Rural weightage certificate (if applicable)
GDDA category certificate (if applicable)
Candidates must come to the centre to get their certificates and mark sheets validated. Candidates must then provide all required papers, including original certificates and self- attested photocopies of all certificates that must be deposited at the verification centre. At the time of registration, candidates can select a document verification centre based on their preferences.
