Sir My caste certificate is Government of Uttar Pradesh Is it valid or not for IIT, NIT and IIIT ?

Anuj Kumar 17th Oct, 2021

Hi,

Usually the caste certificate is issued by State governments. In order to get reservation in Central Institutes like NITs, IITs, IIITs your caste should be in the Central Caste list of Central Government. For example if your caste belong to OBC in Uttar pradesh But it doesn't belong to Central Government OBC List then you are not eligible to get reservation in IITs ,IIITs , NITs. Apart from this, if you belong to OBC, you will also need OBC-NCL Certificate. This certificate is issued only when you have income less than certain limit set by government. If you have both OBC caste certificate, and OBC NCL certificate then you are eligible to get reservation benefits in JEE.

I hope this will answer your concern.

Thanks!!!!

what should be my minimum score in NEET UG for OBC quota to get a govt. medical seat in UP?.....My domicile is of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.)

piyush263001 17th Oct, 2021

Hello,

As such we won't be able to conclusively tell you about the minimum marks as cut-offs vary. To predict whether you will definitely get a seat in a college is an uphill task as cut-offs for colleges change every depending upon several factors such as-

• Number of applicants in NEET exam

• NEET question paper difficulty level

• Score of the candidates in NEET 2021 result

• MBBS/BDS seat matrix 2021

N EET 2021 Cut-off goes like :-

• General - 50th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC - 40th percentile

• General-PwD - 45th percentile

• SC/ST/OBC-PwD - 40th percentile

Government Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh often have the highest cut-offs. So if you wish to be on safe side you must score 620 atleast to be assured of making it into top Government Medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

i am getting up to 160 can i get private medical college ? in uttar pradesh

Priyanka Singh 17th Oct, 2021

Hi,

I hope you are doing well.

Sorry to say but you are near to just qualifying marks which means with these marks you can only qualify your exams but you won't secure a seat . You can apply for deemed colleges to be on safer side but chances are too low for that either . You should take a year break and study hard to get more marks so as to get a seat in government college. You can just give a try next year.

sir my air rank is 124749 and my obc rank is 36857 and i belong from Uttar Pradesh sir can i get any iiit

Sohana Khan 16th Oct, 2021

Hii Urmila,

AIR rank is not that good that you cannot expect to get any IIIT. The cut offs are higher for IIT, IIIT and NIT. But cut off differ from year to year. Cut off depends on different factor that are:

  • No of seats available for admission
  • No of students appearing for exams
  • Total highest score
  • difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts

But since you're OBC category you will have some preferences. So you can refer to the link below for reference of cut offs for top IIITs.

Hopefully this will help you.

Best wishes.

my jee main percentile is 93.4 and which branch I get in mmmut Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh now admission take place on the basis of jee main marks

Vanshika Nangia 31st Aug, 2021

Hello dear aspirant

Hope you’re doing well

According to your percentile of 93.4 your predicted JEE mains rank would be somewhere between 67518 to 75900. According to previous years opening and closing rank of admission, there is not a fair chance of you getting into it. Because according to 2019-2020 cut off if one scores a general rank of 500 he/she can get admission easily. Various quota seats go up to the cut off till 25000.
i hope this much Information is helpful

Plz ask if you have any more questions:)
