Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore
Hello there,
With a rank of 20,000 in AP EAMCET and being from the OBC category, securing a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) seat at VIT AP could be challenging but not impossible. Generally, VIT AP has a competitive admission process, and the closing ranks for CSE tend to be lower.
Here’s what you can do:
Check Previous Year Cutoffs : Look at the previous years' closing ranks for CSE at VIT AP. This will give you an idea of whether your rank is within the acceptable range.
Consider Other Branches : If CSE is highly competitive, you might also want to consider other engineering branches offered at VIT AP, as they may have higher closing ranks.
Counseling Process : Participate actively in the counseling process. Keep an eye on the schedules and be prepared to make decisions based on the available options.
Explore Other Colleges : In addition to VIT AP, look for other colleges in Andhra Pradesh where your rank may secure a seat in CSE or related branches.
Ultimately, your chances will depend on the competition and the number of seats available in that specific branch during the counseling period.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
To get admission in the ECE branch at VIT-AP through AP EAMCET, your rank should be around 2,400 to 3,400 in the first counseling phase. This rank is based on previous years' cutoff for open category students. Usually, scoring about 80 to 100 marks out of 160 in the exam can help you get this rank. Remember, cutoffs change every year, so always check the official VIT-AP or AP EAMCET websites for the latest info.
Yes, VIT does accept improvement marks for admission. This applies to both the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) and your board exams. You can appear for the VITEEE even if you are planning to take improvement exams for your board exams. VIT will consider your improvement exam scores for admission as long as you meet the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of admission. This typically involves securing at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in your +2/ Intermediate exams.
If you meet the eligibility criteria with your improved marks, you can attend classes at the VIT Vellore campus. There is no separate restriction on attending classes based on whether you took improvement exams or not. https://dqxeclau.top/university/vellore-institute-of-technology-vellore I hope it helps!
