Have any chance for a student to get admission in Government college in West Bengal who got 566 marks in neet 2022

rajeevanand843 22nd Jul, 2022

Dear aspirant

West Bengal state quota counseling cut off marks for Gen category students in neet 2021 was AIR 32740 ( marks approx 575-580+)  in coochbehar govt medical College.

Also there are news that six new medical College may open this year in west bengal so definitely cut off will decrease somewhat or will remain same

So now if i compare your marks with last year cut off marks, you are in almost in race and you might have chances of getting govt MBBS seat if those six New College start this year.

Although if you are looking for private colleges in state counseling then you have fair chances.

You can check previous year cut off marks for your state from link below

You can use college predictor tool for knowing chance of getting college, link is below

Hope i may have resolved your query

All the best

I live in West Bengal and got 64 percentile in JEE and also am a SC. I am also expecting my 12 th marks nearby 85-90%. Can I get any government engineering college?

Soujit Das 21st Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

With 64 percentile your general rank will be around 3,68000 to 4,00000. and your SC rank will be around 16,000 to 20,000. Marks vs ranks varies every year depending upon many factors such as difficulty level of questions, no of students appear for the exam, no of students want to get the the same branch.

It will be difficult for you to get Govt Engineering Colleges in West Bengal with this rank.

hey i gave my neet in 2022 first time without any preparation and expect a score of 300-350. i am an ews candidate from West Bengal so do i have a chance for any govt medical College uder state quota?

Sanjana 21st Jul, 2022

Hey aspirant

Getting 350 mark in first attempt without much preparation is good. But getting an admission for mbbs in government medical college for above rank will be difficult. You have a chance of  getting admission in private dental colleges or for other courses like Ayurveda, homeo etc.  But it will be better to give one more attempt, so that you can score good mark by well preparation. For your rank prediction refer below link.

can i expect a mbbs college in West Bengal with 500 marks in neet general category

Arpit Jain 20th Jul, 2022
Hi there, Yes you can get good colleges with these marks in NEET'22 in West Bengal. Some of the good colleges are listed below:

Medical College, Kolkata

Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata

Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan

College of Medicine and Sagore Dutta Hospital, Kolkata

Malda Medical College and Hospital, Malda

Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata

KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur

But it's very difficult to predict anything about which college you will get as it totally depends on their cut-offs which keeps on changing regularly.
